They should bring Pixie back as a extra in the final. I think they will after how SHOCKED people are. Or next year she might be a judge or a contestant again

I can't explain how sad I am”

What is wrong with you - it is only a show - nobody has died - maybe you need something to be really upset about

And she hasn't been in a dangerous position before because people have been voting for her - so until the last she has been popular enough to get said votes.

Strictly will be less exciting without her.

Why do people say this after one dance off appearance? People have gone on to win following similar situations (Abbey Clancy for one.) Mark and Simon are clearly unpopular.

Cazza for the win!

She was so fake and I am really glad she has gone.
At the beginning of the series I had no opinion on the girl but I quickly came to dislike her '12 year old girl ' act after a couple of shows.
Her dancing was nothing special either.
I wish talk of conspiracy theories etc would go away, the majority of the viewers obviously didn't like her.

Strange then that her dancing partner, who obviously knows her, said she is a most down to earth and genuine person.

Of course he did, he wasn't going to stand there and say she was as fake as he is.

You don't know that though. The moment DVO slipped down the leader board she ended up in the dance off, which would have suggested that she wasn't overly popular. Likewise with Pixie.

It is no more of a shock than when Gethin Jones & Austin Healey were voted out., these things happen get over it

The OP alluded to how 'shocked' people are, I disagree, as it was announced she was in the dance off a huge colossal roar went up outside where I live causing me to foul myself.
I slopped over to the window just as some people were dragging an effigy of Pixie over to the village green to torch 'her'.
After the dance off was concluded and Len delivered the coup de grace to the hapless Pixie , another roar went up outside on the green followed by a cacophony of fireworks and sporadic gunfire.
The blaze from the burning effigy spread destroying several vehicles parked nearby,
I was keen to join the revellers but was not dressed for such horseplay.
It is my routine during Strictly to enjoy a bottle of Rosé whilst dressed as Darcey Bussell so tottering over to the celebrations and getting back safely before my wife returns from the bingo was unlikely.
EDIT to say,Just seen that the PM is to discuss Pixies departure from SCD during an emergency PMQ tomorrow, maybe this has gripped the nation after all ?

People saying she was unpopular I think are wrong! She lasted so long without being in the bottom 2! Furthermore she was trending on twitter straight after and there were numerous hashtags which were saying Pixie is the real winner!! I would say out of all the ringers over the past few years she was the most popular!

Get on with real life.

Pixie did not die, she was not murdered, she was not in some terrible accident and remain in a coma for life, she lost a TV show.

Her singing career was circling the toilet latest album and singles bombing. She did Strictly as a boost getting her face out there in the papers etc. Before Strictly it was mainly Pixie and her model boyfriend at a door opening.

At the end of the day she did not get enough votes and ended up in the Dance Off, only takes a couple to be there once to go.
Serenity.

Aw, don't get upset OP. It's only a TV show and Pixie wouldn't want anyone crying over the fact she's out. She will still be around releasing records and appearing on other TV shows so you can enjoy her performances in other ways. Strictly finishes in a couple of weeks anyway.

How might Oscar Wilde have put it...? One really would have to have a heart of stone not to laugh at the opening post.

Me too - she just grated on my nerves. Glad she's gone - gave her bit of a surprise though! Not that keen on Trent either - seems an arrogant type.

My guess is that throughout she has only just been scraping by on viewers votes(same goes for Simon), she has always scored consistently with the judges but even them putting her second couldn't save her this week. She is one of those people that divides the audience. I found her bland and boring, she was a good dancer but there was no passion or spark in her dancing. Jake is entertaining, Mark is improving each week.

The Waltzathon put her 2nd in the leader board if she was that popular then she wouldn't have been in the dance off. Her dance was not better than Simon's, if it was she would have got higher marks.

Well for me, Trent is no loss. Don't rate him at all.

Just look at some of those who didn't last as long and it's no surprise she stayed in as long as she did (in no particular order):

Greg Wallace, Tim Wonnacott, Scott Mills, Judy Murray. Jennifer Gibney, Alison Hammond - that's the eliminations which were obviously going to happen in the first half of the series.

Well said - exactly - she was obviously was better than them - it was at the business end she was in bother
