I'm gutted. This is why the dance off should not exist. Or it should be between teh 2 lowest on the leaderboard.

Yes i agree Simon was SLIGHTLY better in the dance off, but to write off everything else Pixie has done and eliminate her seems wrong. Every dance she did was fantastic. Her pasa doble, foxtrot, charleston and Viennese waltz were simply stunning. Her and Trent made a formidable team.

I agree with Craig, when he said she outdanced everyone else. She did. She WAS the best dancer there and everyone knows it deep down. She is the true winner in my eyes, nobody else left comes close.

I hope Simon or Caroline win now, though i do like Jake he isn't technically great.

Frankie is dull, and has not improved and i cannot stand Mark!

But yeah, for the first time ever, i'm truly shocked, and truly want to give up on Strictly!

Don't give up watching a show you obviously enjoy. I know you're upset but it happens time and time again, when you feel your personal favourite is shafted. Believe me, I have been gutted so, SO many times...
Gethin , Austin, Rachel Stevens not winning, Tom Chambers winning...etc.etc.

I don't mean to make light of your comments, just offering my tuppence worth.

*rocks in corner* Oh my yes, that was bad.

I agree with you, though. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose - making it that much more satisfying when your favourite does win!

Let's bring back Colin Jackson as well while we're at it.

At least he was robbed.

then blame the public for not voting for her in sufficient numbers. For it was they that left her to the mercy of the Dance Off.

So very true.

Harsh - I cancelled Christmas the year Austin got stitched up. I did uncancel it though after Lisa's bacofoil dance in the final cheered me up.

Sometimes these things get to you. As Bill Shankley said years ago: "Football isn't a matter of life and death. It's much more important than that."

Thanks!
I was gutted when Kimberley lost but at least she wasa runner up.
I didn't expect Pixie to win because the best dancers rarely do, but she deserved to be in the final 4.

I was delighted that Len decided to send Pixie home instead of Simon.

Simon has shown improvement every week, but Pixie could dance like a pro from week one.

No denying she's a fantastic dancer, but for me, the enjoyment of the show comes from watching someone who isn't a great dancer to being with, learning and improving every week ... like Simon.

Also, he was better in the dance-off, IMO.

Good for Len for casting a fair vote

Well if that is the worst thing ever then all I can say is you have led a very blessed life.

It was the quarter finals , at this stage good people who could win go, if people are so worried why did they not vote more, its a competition and only one person can win.

As long as the dance-off exists, the judges are supposed to vote based solely on that, not on what's gone before.

As Len said, he wasn't basing his decision on the past, nor on his expectations for the future (although it may have been difficult to do so), he was basing it on what he saw in the dance-off, as he and all the other judges are supposed to.

If he thought that Simon's dance was best (which he obviously did), then saving him was the only fair decision to make.

Thank goodness that at least one of the judges is fair and unbiased in their votes.

They should bring Pixie back as a extra in the final. I think they will after how SHOCKED people are. Or next year she might be a judge or a contestant again

I can't explain how sad I am”

Oh dear, get a grip. The fact is that not nearly enough people voted for her, and they liked others better, it's as simple as that. Lots of people are NOT shocked and she certainly shouldn't be brought back because others think she did deserve to go. Sorry to sound harsh, but that's how it is.

When the dance off was axed people complained and wanted it back as it was a way of still being fair to a good dancer even if they did not get enough public votes. As for it being between the bottom two on the board, well it is the bottom two on the board once the public votes has been cast, unless you mean cancel the public vote and go purely on the judges scoring , then people would be up in arms.

What a sensible post which perfectly balances the hysterical outrage around here.

I am angry that she went, and I am also angry that Simon was in the dance off. They were 2 of my 3 favourites!

I actually thought Pixie did slightly better than Simon in the dance off however and I would have saved her.

As much as I hate to agree with that, I do.

I mean I'm sad, angry, devastated that she has gone and in fact when I saw the spoiler (a huge thank you to abigailsmum! )

I was tossing and turning in my sleep with fury!

But what can you do, she's gone, and she can't come back.

But I can see why people are upset, well partly because I'm a Pixie fan. But even if I wasn't, she shouldn't have gone. But hey-ho.

But thats why the dance off is annoying.
Also last week Sunetra was MUCh better in the dance off. Mark made several mistakes. So the rule only applies when the judges want it to. Its not consistent.

This was the first time ever that i hated the show last night, Pixie has been great, She was easily the best dancer in the whole competition and Darcey has never liked her, They have lost a great attraction to the show.

Ahh the Strictly cannon fodder line up like lemmings ready to berate and beat their chests in outrage, just like the Beeb wants you to. What phenomenon is this where people are genuinely emotionally moved by something so insignificant when great horror is happening in the world?
A phrase springs to mind OP, oh yes, it's GET A GRIP
