Doubt that there is much to understand. He was offered a fee to go into the jungle as a participant and he accepted. Hence he was there. What is confusing about that?

Not really - I don't mind not knowing people when they go in. Sometimes I warm to them (as I warmed to Joey last year - yes I know everyone else knew him but I didn't). I just found Jake very bland and boring.
I was quite shocked when he did it! But then I thought good on yer you are doing what you feel is right and he's done that all the way through. He's a northern bloke where a spade's a spade.
