Hands up anyone who thinks two untried, brand new sports commentators would be offered a million pounds by anyone on earth. Whatever is the Mail doing quoting bollocks from the Star?

I think they might well attract an audience on a sports radio station if one is interested. They might even be tried in a tiny slot on tv. Good luck to them.

They would both need to learn how to present properly - in Jimmy's case avoid all the "Know what i mean??" and other phrases he uses incessantly.

Foggy seemed eloquent enough - but only really spoke when he had something to say - so he's hardly the type to be able to front a chat show on what we saw in there - Jimmy is the too chatty one!

If the banter fails Jimmy can always throw himself on the ground every time something goes wrong - giving added meaning to the word "prat-fall"

But it's an edited show where they cherry pick highlights.
In a chatshow type environment I think Foggy may struggle to keep it up.

Think you're probably right. I'm not a football supporter but I had heard of Jimmy as he played for my home team for a while in 2011-12 and I know he won the supporters player of the year award.

And still out 1st. He is not as popular as some people think.

I really like Foggy but he always looks like a rabbit caught in the headlights. Not a good look for tv I think. As for Jimmy. No thank you.

They would both need some intense training to be presenters imo.

I think Foggy just seems too shy to do this sort of thing. A lot of people said Foggy appeared arrogant on IAC - but I just felt he seemed painfully shy and that's why it took him so long to join in with stuff.

That's some logic - you will have to explain it to me sometime.

He was so popular he was one of the first out ( or was he the first ? )

And the other fact is - as Micky has already pointed out - he was fightened to death and jumped ship - first class wimp.

Well - I am a avid sport fan and I love my sport - on radio in particular.

I think if ever these two were paired up ( and no main stream station would even consider it I am sure ) I would have to resort to classical music I think.

Both good in their sport granted but you have to have a bit more than that to host a programme. Such as brains for example and to be able to smoothly run a programme.

And I have more chance of winning the lottery than that to be a success.

Foggy could be good on talksport.
Jimmy would need some serious swear training before being let loose on the radio though.

Was I the only one who needed subtitles with Foggy? I quite liked him and was glad he won but, as with Tinchy, I couldn't understand half of what he was saying! Surely that does not a presenter make?

Jimmy? I don't think so. Foul-mouthed, inarticulate oaf.

Exactly. One reason, I suspect, why Bullard went into the show in the first place was that he'd been so bad when used as a pundit or interviewee on football shows and match coverage. He even went missing on one occasion half way through, admitted on another occasion he didn't know anything about the two teams and sleptwalked his way through other events. He lacks the discipline or the patience to be a host of any chat show. I imagine Fogarty would do okay, but he'd probably have to spend all his time shutting Bullard up. But you can see why TV execs wouldn't care about it: I bet they just think, 'Get 'em together, fill the studio with a bunch of rowdy blokes, screen it at a time when loads of blokes at home will be drunk: we might get away with it'. It's all very cynical. If you really want to make good programmes with such people, you need to train them over time, get them some experience, but excutives would much rather just bung them straight on the screen and leave them to make fools of themselves before cancelling the show after one series.

Foggy tours the country with his mate James Whitham doing talk shows to motorbike fans, and they are absolutely hilarious, and they are always a sell out, so I for one could believe it if foggy got offered the chance, possible on BT sport

Yeah, that's what sports radio look for in a presenter as well.

It's fairly easy to understand, sorry if you can't grasp it.

It's terrible logic! You're saying he was really popular but was up against other popular people. He was the least popular of 4 people, 1 of whom was Tinchy, ergo Jimmy wasn't really very popular after all!
