The map is very vague to say the least! I really wouldn't rely on it as its far from accurate. Best bet is to refer to mobile operator's maps. As for Superfast Broadband map its a joke

The site is very slow and rather broken for me.

Apparently there's no superfast broadband available (wrong) and 0% freeview/DAB coverage (very unlikely, there's excellent line of sight to a main transmitter, no problems with digital TV since 1998).

It did get the 0% 4G coverage correct, so there's that

Notwithstanding how vague it is... It does show some interesting comparisons between the operators on a regional level.

Look at 3g coverage along the eastern counties of central/northern England, and most of Wales, Scotland and the west country to see a stark difference between MBNL and Voda/O2.

Let's hope that picture changes over the next 18 months with the Cornerstone rollout

This is yet another indication that Vodafone's 3G coverage is pitiful and O2's is only marginally better.

It is today.

Give it 12-18 months, I reckon the network landscape will be very different!

The areas Cornerstone have done (the Voda/o2 network share project), they have done well.

My experience of using o2 in these areas is like night and day - also for users without 4g, the 3g is fast and DC. Once they've done the cities and start hitting the shires, we'll begin to see a very different picture.

I hope!

Probably best illustrated by the geographic coverage figures for 3G instead of the population or premises percentages we normally see.

EE: 74%
Three: 68%
O2: 44%
Vodafone: 33%

The corresponding premises (outdoor) figures are:

EE: 98%
Three: 98%
O2: 91%
Vodafone: 87%
