Currently at #20.

Could maybe chart top 40 officially if it continues to climb.

That's cheap! It's €1.29 on the Play store here in Ireland. I already bought it from iTunes.

I haven't heard this yet.

Are they officially releasing it? I like the original version a lot.

It's just a song from a soundtrack album (the movie is called Get Santa and had quite a big cast, actually). It's not done much on iTunes but it's quite a decent version of the song.

What?? They normally only do covers for bsides or live performances, it's not like thier singles or albums discography are littered with ballad/pop cover versions. aside from Just Can't Get Enough.

I do agree with this, though I like The Saturdays. The original is one of my favourite Christmas songs.

This is probably the second cover they've released as a single in their entire career. Their last one was their cover of Just Can't Get Enough, but that was for charity They also did a cover of Please Mr. Postman but that was for the Postman Pat movie soundtrack and wasn't released as a single. Some of their b-sides were covers but they wouldn't really be known to people who aren't fans or who don't buy their singles. Atomic Kitten and Girls Aloud together released more covers as singles than The Saturdays.

I'll stick with the far superior original Waitresses version.

I've no idea how they keep going really. They've only had one non flop album.

Believe it or not they have their hardcore fans. Go to the website Popjustice and on the forum there are grown men who come up with pet names for the members and gush about how talented they are. One guy even travelled from Brazil to see them perform in a theatre.

True, but what gets my goat is when an artist releases more covers than original songs. Look at Westlife. They released way too many covers They did have some original songs too (I was a fan for the first few years they were around so that's how I know) but I think most of the public know more of their covers.
