Albums you liked initially...

....then started to hate hearing because everyone started playing them.

My nominations are the Stone Roses first album and Oasis 2nd. Liked them to start with, like them now, but couldn't bear them for about 10 years in between.

I find, and as a big fan of them, Chasing Lights by The Sats is an extremely overrated album, Aside from Up, Lies & Fall, for me it's mostly full of "fillers" On Your Radar is thier strongest album in my opinion. Didn't get the hype that thier 1st album got.

"21" by Adele.

I liked it when I first bought it but I haven't listened to it for years. I'm hoping that the media don't go as loopy over her when she releases another album.

Fair enough. I've tried with "On Your Radar" a couple of times and unfortunately it's really not my favourite. I played "Chasing Lights" a lot when it came out in 2008. It's my favourite along with "Wordshaker".

Personally I think the opposite is true as for me the only decent track on On Your Radar is Move On U. I think it's because I prefer what I call proper pop songs rather than the generic dance music that OYR seems to be full of.

The Fame by Lady Gaga, loved it when it first come out, not many people had bought it at first so I got to enjoy it a lot by myself, then Poker Face came out and the album exploded and I got sick of it fast after that.

That is a good example now you have mentioned it. When she brought out Let's Dance she seemed quite innocent, energetic and fresh looking. But then her eccentricities came in and I just went completely off of her and do not want to listen to any of her songs.

This Is The Sea, by The Waterboys. I must have liked it initially because I bought it, but then quickly realised it was all over-produced bluster over nothing.

Spot on, I bought it purely on the basis I liked Just Dance and it was a quiet week for albums that week if I remember correctly and I normally do buy most of the new releases on a Monday, regardless of weather I've heard of the act much or not, loved the album initially, but like yourself, soon as poker face came out as a single I rapidly grew tired of the album and it's singles as I think every other person I knew had a copy and so it couldn't escape hearing it. I think I grew to dislike most of her second album just as quickly, but for different reasons. Artpop I have never gotten Into at all.

They made a career out of ripping off Catherine Wheel and blanding down their style for mass consumption. See here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=phC2dureuNI

Kasabian by Kasabian.

A the time it sounded fresh and original but after hearing that bass riff a zillion times on the radio, TV, in films, adverts, trailers etc I'll never play it again. Of course it's still a good album, but there's just no pleasure to be had from listening to it any more.

I got into Kasabian's music very late so I still like this album

Lolly - My First Album In all fairness, I was a kid and I won it in a Smash Hits magazine competition. I also used to like Kasabian, not so much now.
