There was a suggestion when he was a test cricketer that Ramps was not the most committed at times, suggesting that had the microphone incident or similar had occurred then he would muttered an odd grumble and done nothing about it. But a few weeks with the Hardymeister and he was going to do anything to get another chance AND made the most of it.

Tom Chambers, no contest. His win was all the more sweet seeing the judges complete favouritism for Rachel and (blech) Lisa.

It was one final I was swearing at the TV throughout but the schadenfreude of Lisa and Brendan, coupled with that wonderful showdance of Tom's did console somewhat.

Matt Baker and Aliona for me. Just brilliant dancing, good in both Latin and ballroom, and never failed to make me smile.

Others: Chelsee/Pasha (a pretty close second!), Ricky/Natalie, Rachel/Vincent, Kara/Artem, Natalie/Artem.

And for other reasons (!): Gavbot/Katya <3 , Mark/Iveta, Michael V/Natalie, JudyMoo/Anton.

Enjoying quite a few of this year's partnerships - of them all, I think Caroline/Pasha and Simon/Kristina are most likely to join the list!

I've not been watching for all that many series, but I've enjoyed the previous dances posted on here, especially those of Ramps/Karen, Zoe/Ian and Colin/Erin.
