What direction should Britney Spears next album take?
She should definetly go back to Danja. Work with pharrell too.
She should go down the pop urban route bit more rocky too Any ideas? |

Danja (Gimme More, Break the Ice), Bloodshy & Avant (Toxic, How I Roll), a bit of Max Martin & Shellback trying something edgey (Hold it Against Me, Circus, If U Seek Amy), Ammo (Katy Perry's E.T. and Kesha's Your Love Is My Drug), Pharrell (Slave 4 U, although lately I've found his production to be very samey and uninspiring), and an up-and-coming producer. Someone who would make her stand out!
![]() In the Zone and Blackout showed that she hits her stride with dark, urban, sensual electro-pop. I would love an etheral element to a song or two as well, along the lines of Unusual You, Trip to Your Heart and Heaven On Earth. It also shows that she makes her best music when she is in control. Britney needs to be the EP on Album 9! She needs some edge, some urban bass, some quirkiness, sass and confidence. ![]() And that will all be wasted if she doesn't PROMOTE!

Urban music. Danja would be the main producer but some Pharrell/Neptunes and Timbaland productions would be good too. There should also be some songs produced by an up and coming producer on the hip hop scene. Britney herself also needs to be the EP. She was on Blackout and look how flawless that album is

I would love another In The Zone/Blackout/Circus-esque album. but with some more singles in the vein of Till The World Ends, Scream & Shout & Work Bitch.

Hmm, I am always interested in Britney, think she was hammer by the press and she seems a nice sort.
Anyway, I think time has come for a new direction entirely, as she is best when reinventing herself. She can go stale quick so whilst she is moving about she appears to enjoy it more. I say, its time to throw away the R&B, get rid of the recent pop fetish for everything being electronic, maybe going as far as to instill some real old school recording shizzle as well, give up the notion of being a diva, and goo..... Grindcore I know most people will be thinking "what the hell is grindcore and it sounds like it might be awful". Well its basically Punk mixed with Death Metal, all the beats pushed to the point its no tlonger a beat and sounds like Robocop having a fit, and the lyrics range from politcal angst (thats the punk influance and hardcore seeping in) to outrageously offensive. Now when I say offensive, I do not mean Marilyn Manson or Madonna doing lesbo at an awards show. I mean A.C. levels of offensive. I am talking naming her tracks in a similar vain to "It Just Gets Worse". I know some might scoff and say that silly and pointless, but honestly, how much of a statement would that be. If she just came out, all guns blazin, full of hate, just vomiting on the front row of the next awards do she is at. Just go all out and say "**** it, their is nothing left for me to prove and I wish to leave this Music world with a massive question mark with this album. I want everyone to talk about it but no one have the slightest clue as to what turned me onto that path". Would be awesome. And it would shit all over Gaga and her pretend strangeness. |

I can imagine some of her fans reactions already!!People are small minded though when it comes to music mostly and they don't like change. Mix it up and F@&k it up I say

What direction? 3 miles down the road, 3rd on the left then past the old oak tree, right at the pub then just keep going, into the distance until it's our of ear shot.

What about early 80's synthpop style. She could style herself really of the era and give us some Human League/Visage style songs with a modern twist. Just make sure the production is by someone who was actually there and perhaps a few sparse remixes by Ben Watt or Todd Terry. I want to hear her voice not drowned out by cheap backing tracks - do it with style!

No Will.i.am, harris or guetta
Would love to see her work with Ester Dean. She's been quiet lately, and her work with Rihanna is phenom. |

I can just imagine the fans' reactions to it. Britney certainly would be talked about again. I think it's worth it and certainly better than her becoming too "safe".

An album of silence would be a vast improvement on every other album she has ever released.

In my opinion, that Grindcore idea is terrible.
Do you really think that would impress her fanbase, let alone attract new fans or record buyers?? |

I totally disagree. Maybe she's not to your taste but she has millions of fans around the world who love her albums. I'm one of them

She can no longer sing or dance like she used to, the spark has gone..she should forget about releasing her own albums, i think she should start her own label and mentor the next 'britney'.
