time for a change, maybe
I have been with Vodafone now for a couple of years or more. maybe three. Anyway, after the last bill and the fact that their app is useless and give false information I am thinking of going elsewhere.
The problem is where? EE is not great around here, O2 is ok, but I am not that fond of O2, three is also not great around here as i tried them in a test. Three would have been my choice if their service was ok. I did think about giff Gaff, but they are O2, but they do have good value packages and no contract. I even been thinking of Sainsburys mobile, I know it piggy backs on Voda, but they seem better value, but no tethering, not that i use it a lot, but it have been useful The problem is I got to get hold of Voda for a pac, they do not allow you to get one from their website. Really need to work out what is the best, |

So, basically you want to know how to contact Vodafone. Dial 191.

that leave you with Vodafone - so stay where you are. |

It is not that I do not want to use EE and three, it is the fact that the signal is awful, it is fine here where I live, but the whole idea of a mobile phone is to be, Mobile.

strange you say that as EE and Three tend to be known for having the best network in terms of coverage.
three is fine here where i live and in the town centre, but where my mate live just a few hundred yards from the town centre, three just cease to exist, also where my Dad lives which is also not far from the town centre. The problem with three is that they now use 3G for everything, no back up system, before they used to use O2 i think as a back up. vodafone signal wise is ok, it is not great, but it seems better than others, saying that another mate of mine who use Giffgaff seems to have very few problems unless he is in his kitchen. i really do not have any idea what to do, to be honest, Vodafone really peed me off with their huge bill because their app can not do the job it is made for. I was thinking of going into their shop, but that means i have to go into the new shopping centre. |

the had Orange as 2G backup for voice/text only, but that is now only in a few places as it's no longer needed due to network coverage. |

they've always been 3G for everything.

Anyway, the point is that they only use 3G here and took the back up off, which is a mistake as the their 3G here is not great. I can cope with the fact I can not acess the internet, facebook and even email when I am at certain places, but voice is important to me. |

I thought it was o2 they used as 2G back up? I am sure i remember seeing O2 years ago on my old PAYG three phone. Maybe they changed.

except O2 would be either the same or better, as GG gets lower priority on the O2 network.
Does it? I've never noticed but then I use about 20 minutes a month on a mobile phone since I retired, I can now get 3g down here but rarely need it to be honest. I have noticed that when in the bigger towns/cities in South Wales the internet speed really jumps up. |

yes, should a cell tower be congested, O2 customers will get priority (contract first, then PAYG), GG is below that.

Yeah they used O2 until about 8 years ago... Then they switched to Orange. Then they gradually started removing that. First GPRS access was removed, then 2g was removed where they provide strong 3G coverage.
As I said I did try 3, stuck a PAYG 3 sim in my phone and my vodafone sim in a old basic phone. I found out I had to use my basic phone a few times to make calls. I know Vodafone 3G is not great around here, but at least I can make calls every where i go to, including down in the recording studio of my mates house, which is in a cellar. |

Which makes sense. But a mate of mine uses Giff Gaff and it is certainly better than when he was using EE.

Depends how much Tesco pays O2 I suppose.

all that proves it that EE is worse than O2 in that area.

doesn't matter how much they pay, O2 customers will always have top priority. |

It depends if Tesco pays more than other providers that use O2. Of cause O2 is going to be priority.
