I enjoyed the show overall. It can be a bit flat when the teams are smaller and everyone is a bit more onside. They have less time to play mind games and get on with the task better.

The boardroom was less confrontational and shouty tonight which was in improvement.

I thought it was pretty crappy of Sanjay to say something like that about Bianca considering the effort she put in on the previous task. It was her and Solomon that got most of the items for their team so I can't see how he could claim that Bianca was 'hiding'. His face when she mentioned the comment was absolutely hilarious though, he knew he was in serious trouble!

Glad he's gone, should have been fired a long time ago.

What he said was uncalled for and unjustified, but Karren's intervention was no better.

I was surprised Karren mentioned that. Aw Sanjay you really should think before you speak

Oh, come on. Nick didn't shy from making a catty observation/cheap shot in the boardroom, did he? He certainly didn't in the latest episode.

Bring back Margaret, at least she had a sense of humour!

I'll wager comments that like that get made at least a dozen times in every boardroom. They usually end up being shown at the office Christmas party rather than in the programme.

The BBC want the candidates to bitch about others, that's what they're after and why they film constant talking head interviews after each incident in the series. For Sanjay to be singled out is ridiculously unfair

I thought Nick's inputs last night were very positive; saying he thought Solomon had good input on the branding sub-team, and pointing out that Daniel had been liked in the pitch. Both times he cut short Roisin and stopped her unfairly dissing those candidates, so there was value in what he was saying.

On the other hand, Karren's remark about Sanjay seemed a little unwarranted. He was simply saying how pleased he was to be on the other team, and she cut in to add what he had been saying about Bianca. Not sure what value that added, as it certainly didn't negate what he was saying.

I agree. I think it was done solely to lend a little extra weight to Sugar firing him, no more than that. Sanjay wasn't the first to make a bitchy comment about another candidate and he won't be the last. It's just that we're not often shown Nick/Karren bringing it up in the broadcast edit.

Maybe Bianca makes final 2 and has to work with Sanjay again thats why they edited it in?

Was Karren even in the cab? She must watch the show rough cut before the boardroom

Sanjay made the comment in the brainstorming room. Karren was there.

Previous contestants say the boardroom sessions actually last hours, so we only ever see the tip of the iceberg in terms of what's discussed, and I wouldn't be surprised if those kinds of comments from Nick & Karren are more common that we're led to believe... and of course there might be some foreshadowing of something to come next week?

..in your opinion.

Their delivery at times may be slightly different, but let's not kid ourselves that dear old Nick and the much revered Margaret aren't equally as capable of delivering a withering put down as she is. As far as humour goes, again I disagree- all 3 are more than capable of it, and indeed have demonstrated it, and that certainly includes Karren.

Sanjay was a bit of a simpering weasel of a candidate. weak, and out of his depth. No tears shall be shed here.

It was disgusting of Karen. Sanjay was only trying to build rapport with his new team so he said a throw away sentence about Bianca to gain their trust. Karen was a complete b1tch about it. She's like a school in summer. No class.

You wouldn't have got Margaret being so snide.

It's very easy to say that they bitch about one another all the time, but I can't remember too many times that somebody bitched about someone from the other team, about a matter unrelated to the task, right in front of the "advisor" of that week. Maybe I'm influenced by my general perception of Sanjay being quite snide, and I don't think it was necessary to bring it up, but I have no problem with Karren doing it. And he could have made things a lot easier for himself if he'd just admitted what he said and tried to back it up, rather than squirming around like a worm on a hook.

I completely disagree about Nick and Daniel. Roisin is nothing but professional and the way that Daniel acts is very often just not appropriate for the situation and the audience. He has one persona and isn't able to adapt his style to a different audience; like when you're dealing with high-class or high-end customers or business owners you shouldn't laugh at them and go on about how this isn't your thing. Sometimes it's wise just to say less in those situations.

Fair enough if they liked Daniel, but it was more a happy fluke. The way Nick put it made it sound like Roisin's criticism of him was completely unfounded whereas she was consistently calm, made the right decisions, and only offered Daniel constructive criticism.

For that matter I thought it was a bit off Lord Sugar sniggering whenever Bianca or Roisin used terms in the boardroom that he obviously thought were 'pretentious'. The girls were only using the business owners' and pitch panels' own terms - speaking their language. I don't know how well a young Alan Sugar's 'cheeky chappy' persona would come across to Waitrose!

That really bugged me too.

"Grazing customers" isn't that difficult an expression to understand.

One of the ways to build up good relationships with customers is to use the same language and terminology as they do. Being aware of your audience is key to any pitch or presentation.

Sugar making fun of it just came across as petty to me. Maybe he thinks it fits in more with the "down-to-earth, speak-as-I-find" persona he likes to put across.

I thought both Nick and Karen had obviously been told to speak up. It wasn't that long ago we were saying that we'd not heard much from the pair. Then last night bam, both Nick and Karen had a go.

I thought that was a bit weird that Karen brought that up, they all bitch behind each other's backs. Why single out Sanjay and make him look bad in front of Lord Sugar?

I'd always been bewildered about why so many people thought Karen was fabulous. (I've been guilty of saying "#bringbackmargaret" on Twitter a couple of times...)

However I really loved her tonight, Sanjay was a rat faced fool and she owned him. The part when he tried to jump on Mark about the branding and she said "oh c'mon you both couldn't wait to clock off at 4" (or words to that effect) was great too. And anything that knocks Mark down a couple of pegs gets a thumbs up from me too.

Amen. He deserved to be outed - the comment was ridiculous and clearly meant to serve the dual purpose of discrediting Bianca as well as ingratiating himself towards his new team when hard graft should suffice. I'd been indifferent to him up until that point: what an astonishingly bitchy, stupid and pointless remark.
