Whose behaviour was more deceitful, Jordan's or the BBC's?

It's deceitful because clearly, Jordan was always going to 'exposed' and humiliated on live TV, this could have been prevented by not allowing him on the show at all, but they let him on because they knew what would happen. Nasty, is all.

Having said that, there are some circumstances where I would take the opposite approach. I heard a few months back of a young woman who was approached by The X-Factor (or possibly Britain's Got Talent, I can't remember which) to promote a particular genre of music which she performed in her YouTube videos. Her auditions made her out to look like an idiot, and then that was broadcast. I think that this is a different situation because she didn't apply, they approached her, and I think if you're a producer and you approach someone in that way there is an indication that you are genuinely interested in them, and any ulterior motives are quite dishonest. So I think that does make a difference. With Jordan, and anyone else who applied to one of these shows and didn't do very well out of it, I sympathise but I'm not particularly indignant. They know the risks. |

What?
Tell me this isn't true? I love some of his work way beyond La Vida Loca but what's he doing on The Apprentice? Why do they feel they need to bring in a big name especially someone as random as Ricky Martin. I can understand The Voice maybe but The Apprentice? How odd. ![]()

Someone asked in the 'The Apprentice - the Interviews' thread about Ricky's own interview(s).

I just don't warm to Ricky....I don't know why... Maybe it's because I mssed the series in which he won but for me, yesterday, he came across as a bit cocky and over-assertive if there even is such a word! Lol...but in the world d he seemed ok I suppose. I would have much preferred Margaret or even someone from Dragons Den.

I think it was a good idea. Not only was it abit of free publicity but it also shows that Lord Sugar respects Ricky's opinion. I loved his quote about sifted through all the bullsh*t!

Claude and Claudine - what a selection of names!
As for Ricky Bobby - I don't remember him being so effeminate when he was in the competition. I kept him expecting to say ooooooh matron last night. |

I thought he did a very good job. I think he was bit of a bullshit merchant in the past, so there was nothing the candidates could do or say that he hasn't done before. I think it's a case of the former poachers making the best game keepers.

That, and the fact that he runs a recruitment company now, so he should know how to conduct a good interview!

I thought he was a fair interviewer and picked up on things rather than picking on the candidate for the sake of it.

I just couldn't take him serious as an interviewer. Him being an ex candidate to me it just felt wrong him being there.

Thought Ricky was a very credible interviewer, he knew what he was talking about and had an excellent manner with the candidates.
