I was speaking to a friend from the US the other day and she mentioned that the Galaxy Note 4 has been reduced to $300 there. I'm not sure if she's got mixed up as that sounds ridiculously cheap - but if it's true I was considering trying pick one up.

Customs/tax issues aside - what are the issues with buying a mobile from the US? She said that the phones are tied to a network but we all know it's not difficult to unlock them. I was thinking more that maybe there are difference between our networks that mean it might not work?

Thanks in advance.

Never mind - it transpires that it's $300 with a 2 year contract
