It varies - in the past some have gone back to Civvy Street having been given leave of absence from their companies to take part.

The publicity works well for some, either for trying to launch their business ideas or heading towards the verges of show business.

Stella would probably struggle to get a meaningful job as a permanent employee with a company now but she could offer her skills on contract basis.

Contestants from Big Brother won't ever work again. Don't see what's so different with modern Apprentice series tbh.

I guess they can continue to be entrepreneurs by themselves, but then what good did they think getting on the Apprentice would do them?

They don't want to work for Sugar for long, so what's the point? Just to get in the headlines?

I don't think any of them have a problem being employed again. Most employers will realise it's a TV show and not always a reflection of how the person will do in another role. Also, many employers probably don't even watch the show. I'd be hard pressed to name or recognise on the street any of the past candidates bar a few standout ones and I've watched almost every series!

In almost every series the majority of candidates have been employees of a company rather than self-employed. And as the series is always filmed more than six months before the TV airing, of course the majority of fired candidates will have gone back to their existing careers - as nobody will have had a clue who they are until the series eventually airs. Do you think they just sit on their arse for six months until the programme is shown, waiting for fame and fortune to eventually come knocking? Apart from maybe the ones who reach the interview stage, the majority will be forgotten by most people within twelve months (or less).

I know an ex-candidate (well, a friend of a friend) and they were judged to have been harshly fired quite early in the process.

Anyway, they were contacted directly the morning after the show aired and offered a management position on nearly double what they were earning before the show.

So, providing you show some business attributes on there, it can prove to be a good shop window.

If you Google 'The Apprentice where are they now' you get quite a few articles.

Most of them do get back into work. Not many go back to the same job they had before, but some do. It seems most of them set up their own businesses. There are also quite a few whose job is now "Motivational speaker" E.g. Alex Wotherspoon and Adam Corbally.

I can see Daniel going on Celeb Big Brother after this TBH. Unless he wins. (PUKE)

There's quite a few who work in business education areas, and some who work, as you said, as public speakers.

The most successful people though aremostly those who went off into corporate or media work. the highflyers he rejected tend to fly high .

Relatively people of the people who last in their series do anything as entrepreneurs. The young apprentices have mostly gone off into the corporate field, or are at Russell Group Universities.......
