The guy has done nothing wrong but work hard and give some fabulous performances yet finds himself a victim of online bullying and racism .

I also think scd/bbc have dragged this so called shock Pixie exit out more than enough which hasnt helped. Barely any focus on how amazing Smon danced in the DO, it's all poor Pixie !

I can't understand it myself. I was a fan of Pixie but I would never for one moment blame Simon. I have liked him since day one and really hope he gets to the final.

Simon or Caroline for the win!!

For me, Simon is what Strictly is about. He was good in the beginning but has got better. I love watching him dance and you can tell that he is absolutely loving the experience. Simon and Kristina are a great partnership. Also, they seem like nice people. I hope that they are in the final.

Yep, pretty standard fare - shameful and pathetic all at once. Wrote on here a couple of weeks back that I couldn't see him in the final; it might just happen now. However, I'm totally convinced the winner will be either Frankie or Caroline. Anyway, I shouldn't think Simon will be too disappointed to leave this week he'd have performed all the dances and produced some memorable moments over the course of the series.

Simon has improved so much, he actually reminds me a bit of Colin Jackson in the ballroom dances.

He is brilliant at ballroom now and looks so relaxed and serene - sorry not the correct word but I think you understand what I mean.

I have watched him with interest since the beginning and seen how he has developed and how his musicality has improved.

I would so like him firstly in the final and secondly to win although that second could be a tad difficult because of the brilliant Caroline.

The other three I am afraid are not in his or Caroline's league

That is Strictly your opinion. I prefer Mark as he dances with heart and I am a dancer.

I read a few horrible tweets Mark has got blaming him for Pixie's exit, so I can only imagine how it's for Simon. Blaming the celebs is just stupid, and directing hate in any way @ them is pathetic.

I think he fears that that is so, but it isn't necessarily true. Anyone with any sense should realise it is not his fault at all.

I have been rooting for Simon all along and if he doesn't make it to the final I hope it has nothing to do with anything like that.

Pixie had hateful things said to her too and look at the abuse Claudia received because her child was ill!! On Twitter especially .. it's a free for all. A troll's paradise. Focus on the positives .. that's the best way.

Poor Simon - hated because he's not Pixie
Poor Pixie - hated because she is Pixie
Poor Mark - hated because he is from Essex
Poor Caroline - hated because she shagged someone in a boyband
Poor Frankie - hated because she shagged someone in a different boyband
Poor Jake - hated because he is Max Brannigans, evil shagger crisp magnate of Walford

Poor everyone really.

Isn't Sunetra a TV doctor? So she had to deal with the aftermarth of all that shagging.

And Steve knows all about birds and bees. They shag AFAIK.

And Judy shagged Andy's dad.

They should shag on SCD

I suspect a few Pixie fans will favour Simon instead of the knee-jerk antagonism the newspapers might expect. Sometimes the winner of a dance off gets respect instead of derision.

I have said several times that I in no way blame Simon for what happened last weekend, but I'm less than impressed at him seemingly trying to get sympathy out of the situation.... and he did exactly the same thing when he was last in the dance-off against Thom (who many people also felt was 'robbed').

Yes, it is sad if people blame him for Pixie going but I highly doubt any of them would have been voting for him anyway so it shouldn't make any difference. What really bugs me is that it's OK for Simon to go on about how he expected to be bottom 2, he thought he was going home etc. but when Mark Wright does it he gets criticised. Total double standards! And now he says he doesn't want to let Len down, I just wish he'd shut up and let his dancing do the talking.

It always amazes me when some people have such a different perspective to my own.

I think the members of this forum have been overwhelmingly supportive of Simon's win in the dance off, many even deciding to switch their votes from Pixie to him . If anyone has been getting it in the neck it has been Len and Darcey, and Trent to a lesser degree.

Spare them a thought, eh?

PS: Stop for breath before you do yourself an injury.

Simon isn't getting votes. Mark got a lot of votes last week. What more do you want? There's no point kicking the man when he's down.

Of course it's nothing to do with Simon, you are quite correct.
At this stage there will always be couples going that are a surprise, they know that and accept it.
Pixie was one of 3 that I had money on to win, Thom and Simon were the other two but I would still have liked to see Pixie win.
Although I have money on Simon I would love to see Mark win as he has worked so hard and is such a happy guy!

It's the way of the board. You want a positive only thread - you need to post on the appreciation forum. Post on the main forum and you get opinions from both sides. Just the way it goes.
