I don't mind him when he is dancing (well, not his Latin ones as they are a bit samey) and I agree he has improved, though I wouldn't say he was the most improved. That person for me is Simon.

But I just can't abide him when he stops dancing and starts talking

I have to mute the TV.

I quite like Mark, he has improved a lot and I think Karen has been an excellent teacher but Simon has been the most improved overall.

Mark has improved but Simon has improved more. In terms of technique both are better than Jake.

I usually have subtitles and the sound right down because the cheering etc irritates me.

I am only answering now because otherwise I think you will assume you have proved your point, watch them when they are called out safe, everyone is excited, most say thank you.

The jubilation so far these 3 are over the top considering others are still in danger or know they are in the dance off. I have made the same point and each time I have clarified.
They have no consideration for others at all

It's not me with the closed mind it is those not able to acknowledge that their favorite can do no wrong

Mark isn't my favourite! Pixie was my favourite - and I had no issue with Mark & Karen celebrating last week. It's a competition, they wanted to stay in, they were happy and grateful that people had voted for them. Makes total sense to me and I feel happy for them!

Mark is my least favourite .. but judging any of them on how they celebrate getting through each week is bonkers. If anything .. it's less calculated .. to just get swept up in the jubilation of it all. Kevin in particular is very well mannered .. but so they all are I believe.

If any of them stood there with a 'yeah .. I knew I'd be through' look on their calm and untroubled faces then that would put me off but otherwise I think their reactions are perfectly natural.

Me too. I do like Mark and think he seems a nice guy, others will not like him so much. That's life. But he has every right to celebrate going through to the next week, indeed it would be very odd if he didn't. Is he supposed to stand there, sulky faced, and say 'oh how dreadful, my fans have voted me through' ?? Of course not. And he always thanks the viewers for voting for him.

Of course he does, but you realise that there are some who just don't want to see any good in the poor guy.

I don't expect contestants not to show their contentment or relief at getting through but I think openly rejoicing is in poor taste.

I remember one of the reasons people on here didn't take to Lisa Reilly is because she went really overboard when her name got called out and didn't Julian and Janette get some stick last year when the judges saved them over another couple? I think Janette learnt from that and although she shows she's happy when she and Jake are through she doesn't go overboard in celebrating it. I remember one of the reasons why I really liked Louis ( although I'll admit it was more because he was with Flavia) but anyway, I remember he was really sensitive one time he got called safe because Denise was in the bottom 2, so instead of rejoicing he looked with concern towards her.
