yes but that doesn't mean she's getting more votes than Ben does it? which is what you said originally

So what about poor Andrea. Is he a goner already if the odds are right?

Can't believe the movement in the market because of an article in a newspaper that is absolutely famous for printing bullsh*t, if this is true the market would not have looked like it did before, there would have been movement to Ben without a doubt.

Lots of newbies on this forum who don't understand the significance of an X Factor voting leak from the Daily Star. For anything else its a useless tabloid rag yes and years ago when they first did this i was sceptical but over the years they have had PROVEN leaks that have tallied up with final voting stats. Some posters have provided examples of their previous "work"

And whilst even though i think scoring half of the vote last week is a bit too much if they say Bens been out in front all series and is still significantly ahead of his nearest competition in the semi final i'd be amazed if the final released stats don't also show this for the reasons in my above post.

There's definitely some uncertainty about the leak. If it was to be 100% true, Ben would be a lot shorter than 1.81. I don't believe it myself, for him to be topping at 50% last week, when Fleur got all that publicity just doesn't add up

Bullsh*t in most respects yes but when it comes to XFactor voting leaks they have a very good history of being proven absolutely right

Also if he did get that many votes last week, which is most unlikely due to his poor performance, he would have been favourite much earlier in the week.

but not if the leak has only just come out today? it's all confusing to me.

Now we know why producers have shown Fleur continually in the VT's for both Lauren and Andrea even though Lauren wants Ben to win.

Correct. The leak only came out this morning and this is after Fleur having a great week last week and the judges falling over themselves praising her. The question is - why leak the results now?

What I would suspect is the case is that Ben has been topping the vote for the last 6/7 weeks or so including last week.

I doubt it was 50%, probably something more like 40% and Fleur with 25% and they've made it sound like more of a landslide. Possibly because Cowell wanted them to to make the final more competitive/give Fleur a chance of winning, or possibly just to make it more dramatic.

I would be amazed if the story is complete bullsh1t though given their history for being very accurate, and will hold my hands up if I'm wrong.

At the end of the day the result will be decided on who performs the best this evening, so we will all just have to wait and see.

At least it has created a lot of excitement in the betting market.

The thing is though, whoever has leaked this info surely will not have just told that rag, the info will be known by a lot of people, in this market the smallest amount of money moves it very quickly, it hadn't gone towards Ben at all, in fact the opposite, doesn't make any sense at all.

Different demographics.

Safe to assume Ben is hauling votes from the programme's main demo, older females - they are perhaps less likely to have an iTunes account.

The results from last week prove that isn't the case! Fleur nailed last week, and it looks like she's miles behind Ben. If the leak is true, Ben has won it already

Fleur and Andrea may as well not turn up tonight.

One thing I think Ben fans are more likely to vote than Fleur fans

As has been posted several times now, the Daily Star's leaks have always been accurate to date.

Exactly....and when Andrea exits in 3rd place, Ben will pick up more of his granny votes than Fleur will seeing as she's doing a song which is rap heavy. It's Ben's for the taking and I don't even care!

Shame. I think Fleur winning would be best.”

The 800 votes thing was the week Stereo Kicks and Lauren were in the sing off. How do you know it wasn't Andrea? He'd already been in the sing off once at that stage, the previous week (Whitney week where he gave a strong performance). Jay, Stevi and Lauren's eliminations - all of which happened one week after they survived a sing off - kind of prove that the bounce back vote hasn't been happening this year.

It could, of course, have been Fleur. But statistically, it's more likely to have been Andrea. Fleur has still never actually been in the sing off.

They obviously want Fleur for Sunday night hence the voting leak if it is true of course.

That gap is huge, especially after Fleur's performances.

I think we could find that Ben has been topping the votes almost all series like Matt Cardle did”

I agree. The star is a waste of space generally but it has a history of getting voting leaks on reality tv shows absolutely spot on. I can remember people laughing when the star claimed Eoghan Quinn was storming the votes each week and also the howls of derision that Maloney won almost every week but they turned out to be spot on.

Edited to add, Ben seems to be favourite with almost every bookie now

I was even sceptical over those two and they turned out to be 100% accurate in the end.

Absolutely. The Maloney one was blatantly a wake up call to everyone that he was in danger of becoming your winner and at that stage only Jahmene was close to challenging and pre show fave Ella was struggling. It was all backed up the final voting stats.

However is this the first time they've released a leak this close to the final? Normally its done to change the course of the winner Eoghan/Maloney.
To do it this late suggests the powers that be are happy for Ben to win but have released this to get a tighter final and rally Fleur fans who may have thought she had it in the bag after last week
