Dunno but I hated Lisa and loved Rachel. What am i? A half Jellus hater? Couldn't give a toss. I like what I like whether girl or boy

Fair enough, but I cannot actually imagine myself hating anyone I don't even know. I find it a very strange term to use in this context.

I know. It is a ridiculous term. The same as trying to say that women don't want pretty young girls to win cos we are jealous. Ridiculous. Most women prefer to look at a pretty young thing than a muscular man tbh. Womens physiques are so much nicer

Not sure I actually understand any of that, but if you say so.

No you didn't. I was only quoting from another post. If you check my posts I have never used personal insults against any celeb. I find them offensive, particularly as they have absolutely no foundation. I would like to know why people hold such views about people they have never met and know absolutely nothing about. It seems bizarre. Perhaps you would care to enlighten me?

I can't enlighten you. I'm not very clever with words as some on here. All I've tried to say is that some people (possibly men but that could be a generalisation) try to insinuate that women don't like the girls cos we are somehow jealous of them . This in my opinion is not the case. I usually prefer the celeb girls as they look gorgeous being 'swirled' around. But if the girls are NOT liked for whatever reason it's not a case of 'jealousy' just that they 'are not favourites' of some for whatever reason. I've probably confused you even more now.....taxi for Twinkle

The show was disussed on Afternoon Edition, Radio 5 last Wednesay - starts just before the 2:53 mark:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b04tcfxs

The phrase "too good-looking, too perfect and there wasn't enough personality" was used - by a man claiming to be giving the views of the women in his family. If true, then how sad - but it is only one example of course....

No, I actually do understand what you're saying. I also understand that very many women do like and vote for the female celebs. However, there were some extremely nasty comments posted on this forum about Pixie and Frankie, far and away in excess of the usual 'boring' type comments. I didn't even know about the Lisa Snowdon and Rachel Stevens issue until I saw it mentioned on these boards. There is plenty of scope for constructive criticism without resorting to personal insults. I just think it's sad, regardless of who makes them.

Yes I agree. We all get a bit 'het up' sometimes but some of the posts are really awful.

There were many nasty comments against Pixie on the Guardian blogs too. I've no idea why one person was singled out there as much as they did.

Would you just shut up a minute and stop blocking my view of Pixie's legs on the telly. Left a bit. No, not my left, your left. What is wrong with these people?
I dunno why I come here, I don't even like the food.
*exasperated*

Why would you want to look at those? Too straight, apparently.
