Ola has worked on the show for years but the Producers could not find 10 seconds to wish her all the best. Pathetic is putting it mildly.

Given that Ola and James have yet to say anything about the situation it would be completely unprofessional for the BBC to say anything about an employee's medical condition. Confidentiality works both ways.

James and Ola have made no statement about her injury.
It would not be appropriate for the BBC to make any statement

Well she wasnt supposed to be on the show tonight.. Perhaps they will mention her tomorrow when the pros dance.

As others have said, it would have been quite wrong and very insensitive for the programme to say anything when Ola and James have chosen to exercise privacy at the moment. This thread should be removed.

They would only mention it if she had still been in the competition.

Agreed.

Has C4 issued a statement, it's a dangerous and foolhardy show.

It's entirely possible that the BBC were asked NOT to mention anything by Ola and James.

Agree, like when Clauida came back, she asked people not to be nice to her, And lost composure when they did.

Exactly right.

Another faux outrage thread...

Strictly's Ola Jordan forced to pull out of The Jump due to injury
Channel 4 confirm the professional dancer has had to leave after sustaining an injury in training

"Unfortunately Ola can no longer take part in The Jump due to injury," a spokesperson for Channel 4 has confirmed.
It's thought the dancer has injured her leg and hips whilst in training, ahead of the show's return in 2015.
Recovery is certainly Ola's priority, but in terms of her role as a professional dancer on the current series of Strictly, it's not thought Ola was due to perform in this weekend's group performance. Sources close to the show confirm she also won't be performing next week.

I think that is more likely. I wonder who will accompany Steve next week in the final.

I hardly think the fact that the Mirror and Mail are publishing prurient and speculative pieces is anything to the point. The poor woman is injured and she and her usually chatty husband have not chosen to say anything. Therefore your criticism of the BBC for respecting their stance is misplaced.

It could be so serious that they thought it best for privacy.

The extent of her injury us not yet known, it would be insensitive of the BBC to mention it without the facts being known.

Agree.

Note,

Nothing on the BBC News website even under Entertainment gives an impression of an embargo.
