Channel 4 have officially stated that Ols has had to withdraw from The Jump.
I didn't expect them to mention Ola as James Jordan has remained silent .... so I assume they want privacy.

She was contracted to SCD and went off for money and injured herself thus not being able to fulfil her obligations.. Why should they mention her?

It wasn't in the public domain at that point. The BBC were respecting their right to privacy.

She's the one who has willingly injured herself, leaving herself unable to do a job she is contracted to do. She's now burned her bridges with strictly and is unable to take part in the trashy skiing show. She's made her bed and will have to lie in it.

I think "willingly injured" is going a bit far - no-one willingly injures themselves.
Yes, taking part in that show doesn't seem as if it would ever be the smartest idea in the world, and she was taking on the risk knowingly, but it sounds as if it was a freak accident, and it could just as easily have happened while she was on a ski holiday!
As far as the mention/not mention saga is concerned, I don't really get the fuss - James & Ola have not commented, so it's not the BBC's place to do so. Not really sure what's so hard to understand about that...
If she has been injured, doing this new show, then she is a very very silly woman!
ANY dancer, professional, or amateur knows that if you dance for a career you HAVE to take care of your body and protect yourself from potential injuries. Most professional dancers would never go near a pair of skis as any kind of injury could spell the end of a career. Like, never be able to dance again. A broken ankle, leg or pulled tendons can take months to heal, and will never be as strong. For non-dancers this isn't always a problem, but for those who use their bodies as an athlete, it really can be a total disaster.
If she is still under contract to Strictly, to go off and do this skiing show, is not only professionally idiotic, but also could have ruined her future dance career as well.

We don't know what the terms of her contract with the BBC is, but it might well contain a clause banning her from doing any activity which could mean possible injury while she is under that contract, which she still is until after next week. I expect the BBC lawyers are looking at it now and she could well forfeit any fee she got from the BBC if she has broken her Strictly contract terms.
She can't be under contract to the BBC and "The Jump" on a different channel at the same time, so it's possible she was getting in some early practice of her own.

Of course she can! She's freelance - there's no reason why she can't have contracts with several companies at the same time - I can't know if there are exclusivity clauses or sport exclusions... but neither can you.

But she does not start on the programme until next month, after her BBC contract ends. According to reports she was doing some unofficial preparation in advance of the programme. They could put a clause in the BBC contract restricting activities like skiing but presumably they have not done so, perhaps they will next year after this incident.

Or she might just have decided that as there was only two weeks to go, she say to hell with the SCD contract and get some skiing practice in anyway.
We don't know anything. We don't know if there is a clause in her SCD contract (having been involved in drawing up employment contracts, I'd be surprised if there wasn't). Freelance or not, she'd still have to abide by whatever terms are in it. We don't know if it was official or unofficial practice. We don't know what she injured. We don't know how badly she was injured. We know nothing.
We're all just speculating. But I'm not surprised the BBC have said nothing because I suspect possible legal issues apart from not divulging personal information without permission from Ola.
There may be different conditions for Celebrity dancers and back ground dancers. She was out of the competition.
