When is 'Final Five' filmed?
Just a quick question - is "The Final Five" episode filmed after Alan Sugar has decided which five will progress to the interview stage, or are profiles conducted on all candidates before the main show begins, with the producers simply splicing the relevant footage together? (in which case, I'd be curious to hear background stories on some of the candidates who didn't make it this far!)

Presumably after the final five have been decided.
![]() The whole thing is filmed months in advance so there would be no problem to have a break from tasks to film the profiles. |

It's only the bit of the Final at the start & decision of who LS hires that's live, the rest was recorded months ago.

I'd imagine well after the rest of the series has been filmed - they're not gonna waste time chasing after Scott McCullogh's live-in partner and old school teachers on the off-chance he makes it to interviews.
I think they do talking heads with the candidates in the house, then do the off-site stuff closer to broadcast. |
