After this years farce of a programme, and the complete biased views of Darcy, and Lens self-rightoeus nonsense. BBC seriously need to rethink having them next year.
It'll be up to the producers and the controller of BBC one of whether Darcy and len depart or not, the fact they bring in the ratings means their not going.

I doubt those two are the reason millions tune in every week.
Darcey is just embarrassing now, when I started watching she was my favourite judge, boy was I wrong!

Len is head judge and elder statesman now Sir Bruce has gone and that makes for a dangerous position for one person. Tess can't handle him the way Bruce could so there needs to be a change somewhere as Bruce was host but also in charge of proceedings which is not the same with Tess.
Len was the only consistent judge tonight. The other judges all gave ridiculous scores at least once (yes, I know all the scores were too high, but still) . Darcey can go because she does it all the time, but Bruno is almost as bad. Craig just has the occasional mad moment and it happened tonight with Mark's Rumba.
It seems to me the Strictly rule book was torn up when I wasn't watching.

But surely Len should not have given '8' for that Rumba - that was hardly consistent.
He was also inconsistent with Pixie. He ignored her bad legs in the Jive but criticised them in the Cha cha.

Nonsense. Sir Bruce was never in charge of anything. He just thought he was and the judges were gracious enough to let him believe it while everyone else just pandered to his vanity by grimacing gamely at his awful jokes. The man couldn't even read his cue cards; he certainly had no control over Len Goodman. That said, everyone on Strictly has been assigned a role, and for the most part they all play their part as the BBC orders.
Her comments and criticisms are always very good however I've had it with her schizophrenic scoring!
Both Simon's awful Samba and Frankie's AMAZING Argentine Tango a 9? I mean COME ON Darcey! It's nearly as bad as Craig giving Mark's Rumba a 9 yet scoring Frankie's a 7!

And that's the thing you see. Dance is really subjective. I thought Simon's samba was pretty good although there was an error in the routine. Frankie got her routine right but her AT technique was non existent (although to be fair same applied to Kevin). On that direct comparison I would have knocked a point off Simon for not getting the routine correct. Not getting the basic technique of a dance right seems to me to be a worse failing than making an error in the routine so arguably Frankie should have got a point less than Simon.

But the “biased views” and “self-righteous nonsense” make for great addictive television. What would gimmicks you replace them that would be just as fun?

Of course. That's the secret of any long-running show: focus on the regular characters, the ones who are always going to be there to draw the audience back year after year. That's how television works.

When push comes to shove all the judges have more than a touch of the Donny about them. They are just there for entertainment really. One shouldn't take them too seriously.
