Daily Star: Cowell vows to make Fleur a GLOBAL star

Quote:
“ We can reveal X Factor boss Simon Cowell will sign talented Fleur even if she is not the champion.

Last night Fleur, 27, sang for a recording deal alongside Ben Haenow, 29, and Andrea Faustini, 20, in what bookies were calling the closest-ever final.

But Simon had already decided to make her a worldwide hit – telling aides: “She’s already a superstar. She could be the *British Rihanna.” Our source revealed: “Simon made the decision to sign Fleur after last week’s semi-final. He would love her to be crowned champion but he will give her a record deal whatever *happens.”

Chatting exclusively to the Daily Star Sunday, Simon refused to be drawn on contracts.

But he said: “Based on what I saw last week, I’d have to say Fleur really has the potential to be huge if she was given material as good as Uptown Funk. I’ve never seen such a reaction to a song in my life. It was unbelievable. The original is fantastic but what she did with it is *incredible. It was almost perfection.

“She reminds me of what Janet Jackson used to do at the height of her career. She could sing and dance and put on a show and we haven’t seen anyone like that in a long time.”

Fans’ favourite Fleur gave stunning performances of Can’t Hold Us, Uptown Funk and Beneath Your Beautiful last night.

Chatting just before the final, she said: “The dream is obviously to become an international star.

“That has always been my aim and now hopefully I can make that happen.

“I want to be like a modern-day Janet Jackson. I have so many ideas I just want to get started.”

The session singer could now become a multi-millionaire with Simon’s backing.

But the former barmaid will first have to pay off her huge debts to family and friends.

She said: “I’ve lived on my overdraft for about four years. In fact I was over the overdraft.

“I was borrowing money from family. My parents were scraping the barrel so I could sing.

“There’s a lot of money I owe and need to pay back someone so the winner’s cheque would be nice.

“I’ve borrowed so much money I don’t even know the amount *any more. It will take a lifetime to pay back.

“Before this I was working in a nightclub serving champagne to celebrities like Rihanna. I used to serve their drinks and pray one day it would be me sat at the table rather than me serving them.

“It feels like this is the right time for me.””

Excited about her future!

Inb4 an inevitable pimping claim.

We all know he'll sign both regardless. The only difference between the runner-up and winner will be the Christmas number 1. And obviously differing levels of success for them, I'm inclined to think much more for Fleur but who knows?

He's vowed to make a lot of X Factor contestants global stars. Has it really and truly ever happened? No...only to One Direction and Leona Lewis.

One Direction, Leona Lewis and, to a lesser extent, Little Mix are the only global stars to come out of the show.

Fleur - we'll see. I'd love it to happen, yet I don't see what's wrong with just being known in the UK. Olly never broke America, and he's having a great career.

Great news for Fleur, and so well deserved.

Is that the reason the Champion flags were out last night displayed behind Fleur?

She had her win celebration then?

Is this a foregone conclusion that Ben is getting the votes and they have kept the Winner flags for him tonight?

Herr Scowell will have everyone programmed to state "it is better not to win but be runner up" before before you can say 'X Factor 2015'!

It's a pity that you seem to be obsessed with SC. Whether you like the guy or not, he iis a hugely successful in what he does. People in this country seem to hate anyone that does really well for some reason.

Not an obsession or hate (your words) - just an observation. He is Dictating the whole script after all. I believe that Scowell is extremely successful in making money and exploiting people. Your typical entrepreneur.

Unfortunately, some opinions go over the head of many.

Never hate, but what is there to love? In fairness, the man only really loves himself.

Unfortunately, some opinions go over the head of many.

Why are you obsessed?

She isn't obsessed.
Actually Cara is one of those that is brilliant at writing posts whether you agree with her or not. The sense of irony, wit, sarcasm and precision in her posts is commendable and she should be writing for the guardian or private eye ha ha..

I should add I'm being serious there. Thoroughly enjoy Cara's posts.

I don't think she sings particularly well. But that never stopped some current performers. She has everything else and she looked particularly stunning last night. Though she would probably look good in a binliner. Sigh....

The problem with CARA's post's are that they are all about SC. She is'nt interested in the acts other than the fact that they are being signed by someone that she has no time for.

No they aren't. Read her posts on other threads.

Anyway as all good comedians and writers they pick on subject matters.. Perhaps those that cause more controversy than others. Nothing wrong with that - bucking the trend.

I am no fan of LM or 1D , but they are both hugely successful acts, and it would be silly to say otherwise.

What's the point on waitIng the finale of a singing competition if everyone will be signed?

Great to hear, I know Fleur wont win, but I think she will have big future ahead of her, she seems to have alot of support overseas as well.

If I need an interpreter I will request one thanks. Appreciate the interest shown though.

Too bad she will be signed to such a bad record label then. Hopefully Simon won't forget about her when his next manufactured boyband comes along, he probably will though. Simon stopped bothering with Leona the moment he signed 1D.

I doubt it. TXF has made only one global superstar act, and there will remain only one.

As stated in previous post so long as you have a marketable image and a good voice - fleur you will do well, course she's going to be a star! She performs like she's already established

For the record - the flags were for her fans - she calls them champions
