I really don't like the fact that Len gets the deciding vote

Of course it would - all of them would have an equal say in the end result.

Absolutely - Len would have kept Scott Mills in the competition longer had he had his way, a choice which led to many crying that he had lost his marbles. Those who hail Len as some sort of God of Dance who always knows best might do well to remember that week.

What I would like is gusted safe couples.

Week one of the 15, the top dancers by judges points are automatically through.
Say each week the top 50%.

So week two seven auto through,
Week three six etc.

We then know who to vote for who is at risk, the best dancers saved, and no surprise eliminations, this should continue until there are eight there then end.

agree completely...the xf are dropping this...time for SCD to move in on it!
Also, if the first two make it 1-1, as on saturday, then bruno's vote becomes meaningless. It all comes down to 'len's ten'...

Yes, that's a good point, it's ridiculous, it really is. Something has to change.

No .. it wouldn't .. not in a tied situation (between the other four.) Len .. as head judge .. would have the final say/vote .. and so the result is the same.

That's right, you have to have an odd number to get a fair result.

Yes, there would be no difference.

I agree. It's outrageous that Len has so much more power than the other judges. In effect, Len decides who goes each week unless all three other judges disagree with him. It's also equivalent to Len having two votes.

If there were 5 judges, Len would have no more power than any of the others -- unlike now. That SCD would show Len's vote last wouldn't give him any more power than if they showed Bruno's last. The way it works now is equivalent to Len having two votes. Nothing like that would be the case if there were 5 judges with one vote each.

Only if you believe the judges change their votes depending on what the judges before them did.

In any case, "casting vote" does not normally mean whoever votes last. With 5 judges with one vote each, none of them would normally be said to have a "casting vote", no matter what order they voted in.
