I really hope Frankie's not doing the foxtrot it was a nice dance but it's not gonna help her win.

I though Caroline,s showdance would have been a fast dance, she seems more confident doing them and makes less mistakes, I fear if she makes any mistakes this week she won't be able to hold the tears back

I think that this is the best way to go for most couples, yet not many do decide to go down this route. So many throw everything into the dance, but it ends up looking a mess or just trying too hard IMO.

As soon as I heard that, I'm even more convinced that it's Frankie's to lose. IF Kevin gets the choreo and music right, it might buck the trend of a lot of meh showdances. Remember, the most memorable and still the best is Tom and Camilla's which was a mesh of old Broadway/Hollywood.

Now we know Frankie's doing a Ballroom showdance, I'd like to see her do the Tango as her own favourite dance and the Charleston as the judges pick (I think she should do at least one Latin).

I've already said Fred and Ginger for Caroline and Pasha - and now on ITT it looks as though it's going to be Frankie and Kevin's dance - ah well

I could see Frankie and Kevin getting a perfect 40 for a Fred & Ginger showdance, as long as she is more confident going into the lifts.

Kevin did a ballroom show dance with Susanna last year and it really didn't have the wow factor at all

I agree but I think Frankie can pull off more glamour and has a better top line. What he comes up with is debatable.

Mind, I am still expecting the best showdance to come from Kristina.

It's the first Strictly where I am enjoying all the dancers in the final ( yes even Mark overall) so as long as the best dancer wins I'll be content.

Agreed, Pasha has never done great showdances. Hope that will change!

I wonder what kind of showdance Karen could do for Mark. She could do something that massively covered him like the rumba, but a lot of people hated it and thought he did absolutely no dancing so I think it would be divisive. I can't imagine Mark ever doing a dance that made anybody say WOW. We shall see I guess.

I would like Simon to do his AT, Caroline to do her Charleston and Frankie to do the Paso or Tango. I guess for Mark I would say the jive.

I can imagine Pasha and Caroline doing this for the show dance - but perhaps not the singing - who knows - ah.....

For some reason I have a feeling that Caroline and Pasha will be doing their AS for the judges choice, as it was potentially a great dance, but the slip at the beginning happened and then I don't think she sold it as she would have done had it been clean. I hope they do actually to see it with all the razz Pasha intended!

Then again these judges choices are a bit hit and miss, didn't think Natalie's or Sophie's last year was great for them, even though both performed well.

Okay update on Caroline according to twitter:

The showdance is emotional and tugs at your heartstrings, it could be Girl on Fire by Alicia Keys as someone tweeted her with a video with the song in it and said your should do this version instead.
People were also annoyed she was doing a slow showdance to which she replied that she is doing two fast dances.

So does that rule out American Smooth??

No .. I don't think it rules out the AS .... as it was quite nippy. I think it might be Paso .. I would much rather that than the Quickstep anyway.
I don't know Girl on Fire .. I'm guessing it'll be sort of rumba based.

Oh no Stu I think those are unwise choices! Didn't enjoy Frankie's Charleston much, it wasn't Charlestony enough for starters. I don't think she was that into it either (the judges were lukewarm as well if I remember rightly). Would really like to see her Wicked Tango again but it wouldn't look half as good without the make-up and Halloween atmosphere. Her Paso was dynamic and strong, and you can tell she really got into it. I'd have her reprise that and her Argentine Tango with better flicks and transitions. Pleased to hear about the Fred and Ginge style Showdance, will be perfect for Frankie and a nice contrast to the other two dances.

Kristina said in an interview today that her showdance choreography includes 7 lifts! Sounds like a bit of a kitchen sink approach in terms of dance styles too...

Yeah, that sounds a bit messy..she has been showcasing him a lot more than previous partners ..so just hope she doesnt hog the limelight.

Am I right in thinking the judges' choice is a performance they want to see improved on since the first time? There is a reason given for their choice but I can't remember what it is. They might choose routines for the finalists that were from a week they were in the DO, except Frankie's never been in one.
