I don't think the singers that appear on SCD are ever any good however good they usually are.

Just had to watch her on iPlayer after all this criticism . That was a brilliant rendition of her song . She has a great voice . I was annoyed when those dancers came on, especially when the silly dancing or lifting didn't match the song .
What name??

Paloma was impressive on Jools Holland. Didn't see her on SCD.

A change of tempo shouldn't be a problem for a professional musician. The house band manage it week after week.

I thought that as well, aren't the dancers supposed to be supporting the singers - not the other way around... they completely blocked Paloma at one point which didn't seem right to me.

I'm giving myself a pat on the back for predicting weeks ago that the Strictly producers would wheel her out again. They like revisiting the same people, don't they? She's one of those people who makes me wonder 'How the **** did they ever get famous?' Everything about her is contrived and crap. Her agent is far better than her talent.

This same thread pops up every sunday LOL. Can't take 'worst ever' posts seriously as there just isn't any pleasing some.

She was worse than Michael Buble and Idina Menzel who on X factor who were in tune but may have messed up some of the lyrics.

I don't think anything could be worse than the Manilow/Armstrong "duet" recently. Its been a particularly poor year for music acts on Strictly imo and I get the impression they give the producers more head scratching time than the show itself.

Were the judges missing for the first bit of the song?

I usually like her, but that performance was awful.

Thank goodness for Janette & Aljaz to make it bearable!

My point was that it's usually a very fast dance tune - slowing it down to that extent just didn't work at all. It was a bit car crash TV.

What she did with the "oh oh" section was worse than the recorded version, and that's bad enough.

I like her... but I could not hear any of the words and while she had the microphone obscuring her mouth, I couldn't even tell what language the song was in. Fine if you know the song - I didn't - but an odd performance...

That is the fault of the cameraman not Janette and Aljaz!

This year's selection seems to have been pretty dire and nightmare inducing: way too many bottoxed faces, off-note voices and just general shiteness. Have we had il divo this year? Feels like we have even if we haven't

At least we didn't get lard-arse Robbie Williams this year so it wasn't all bad.

I went missing after the first few shouts....of what sounded like 'I have been here far too long' ....no kidding

So it wasn't just my ears. I wondered why they didn't just re-record it, given that it's not live. Paloma is usually good so something must have gone wrong.

Have to agree about the dancers. Janette and Aljaž completely blocked out Paloma and the audience didn't help either - cheering loudly every time they made a new dance move. It was like they had forgotten that Paloma was there. I can quite understand why some singers don't want to perform in front of the SCD dancers.

Having said that.... I wasn't that keen on that version of the song. I much prefer the usual one. But I think that Paloma did great. It was the whole set-up with the dancers and the song choice that didn't really work.

How can she be the worst after the Odo / dead guy duet?
