If he hadn't already proposed to Karen in public on BTF he could have done it live on TV during next week's final.

What on earth does that even mean? He proposed to her because he loves her, on her birthday, in front of their family and friends, not as a gimmicky publicity trick on Strictly.

He doesn't need to kick himself, I will gladly put my size 10s up his a**e. I'm getting fed up of him showing off, thinking it is all about him.

Shame, he was a great addition to the show last year, but he is only one of many pros and he thinks he is the dog's b******s which is offputting.

I find the dislike for Kevin on this forum quite extraordinary. I find it very uncomfortable at times and it does this forum no favours. It's absolute snobbery.

Nice to see how happy he was Karen was through to the final.

I was a big fan last year but he has got right on my whatsits this year, the whiff of desperation every week, most off putting.

I get not liking someone as a dancer, but to extend the dislike to their life outside the show, onto their relationship is just odd. He's not out there kicking puppies after all.

I really don't understand what kevin does wrong. sometimes i think if he even breathes in the wrong way this forum would call him arrogant.

1- him being happy when they get through?! ok its quite a bit reaction but i think it really shows how much he genuinely cares about them getting through

2- i have watched strictly both years he has been in it and he's been nothing but lovely, and he's built genuine friendships with both of the ladies he's danced with. it shows that both his partners absolutely love him.

i have seen nothing of him being arrogant, just him being someone who really believes in Frankie and her potential even when she doesn't,

Ive seen some people bashing him for crying tonight, its an emotional situation, he was emotional for Karen, the camera panned to him its not like he stuck his face in the camera!!!

I don't know if im blind or something but i really just don't see this so called arrogance. I would think he was one of the least arrogant pros!

People are entitled to like and dislike whichever dancers they choose. Why is it snobbery, because he is from Grimsby? I have gone off him this year because of his antics. Tone it down and realise he is one of many pros on the show, and I might like him again. Not that he will know, or care, but I will

Snobbery does not cover him going OTT when saved and others are still waiting. I appreciate he us happy but a bit of thought for others would go a long way.

Compare and contrast with Simon, who was left waiting while Kevin celebrated, then comforting Kevin while Karen was in the dance off.

I don't understand what he's done to make the forum hate him

That is disrespectful of him.

Why the need to extend the dislike to his personal life? Because he's genuinely supportive of Karen and shows it? It's just low IMO. There should be more men like him out there, supporting their SO like he does.

I don't hate him, but I find him annoying this year.

Me neither. Some of the things said about him are nothing to do with his dancing, some are very personal, it isn't necessary imo.

I don't get it either. Kevin's not my favourite pro - too schmaltzy for me, it's all a bit chocolate-boxy, his dancing and choreo. But he seems like a nice guy. Just a bit cheesy and I'm not one for cheese. Plenty of people like his style though, and why not?

Totally agree. I think its nice how he was clearly feeling the emotion for Karen!

And saw another comment saying its disrespectful when he's so happy to get through, why is he getting singled out for being happy. Caroline and Pasha were jumping around happy? Whats the difference?!

And in what way is he any different than the other pros? Have you watched, for e.g, Kristina's reactions? (and I'm not having a dig at her - I can understand why all the pros make a song and dance about something so important to them.

i think there is a bizarre way where people start to believe the bollox they make up about him, and then justify that as the reason to hate him.

so, if he appears happy, or pleased, and its called showing off often enough then it becomes showing off. self fulfilling prophecy or something.

I feel uncomfortable with the whole thing tbh. I find myself getting annoyed at Kevin's antics but I don't think some of the things said on the forum are very fair.

However, the OTT way he's been celebrating when Frankie is through has really put me off as I find it disrespectful. I'm sure some will like that but I don't.

I feel like everything just needs to calm down. Good thing it's only a week left of Strictly, eh?

Ah but Caroline and Pasha are the forum favourites.

I never took to him last year either, I find him a bit too much and his dancing is too manic for me....he seems an ok bloke on the whole though but I just cannot warm to him as a strictly pro and his over reactions on getting through get on my last nerve, I like Frankie as she seems a really lovely girl but again I dont warm to her as a dancer at all .........maybe it is just the partnership with Kevin that stops me voting for her.
