Interesting to see the "official" percentages.

I gave up watching after the first couple of shows and recorded the rest so i could skip through all the crap and just view and hear the competitors.

I had Fleur as my favourite but seeing as both singers were Cowells, knew full well it could easily go the other way and what would it matter.....for Cowell it's a 'win win', something he has to do!

Ben had the glory of 'winning' but behind the scenes both will have contracts. Cowell isn't that daft to let someone else make money from Fleur. The real 'winner' will be the one who goes on to become a long term success. After all.....look what became of Steve Brookstein.

Stevie NEVER once polled the lowest votes!!!

Even the week he went when it was a double elimination and Simon tried to stitch him up by making him wear all that gold stuff he should have survived against Andrea as Andrea and Only The Young polled less votes!!!

im shocked Ben was polling the most. Thought Andrea or Fleur would. Dont think Ben is a good singer really. Okay for rock songs but thats it. Highway to hell was his best. Think Simon wanted Fleur to win..more marketable..she can do ballads and pop/disco

Which makes a whole mockery out of voting when in the end the judges decide when someone goes or not. (After taking voting money from the public)

Totally agree! I've never agreed with the judges making the choice of who goes!!

Who ever polls the least votes should go no deadlock or judges decision!

I agree with you.

What would the 'judges' be judging then ?

It is strange how 'judges' always vote for their own acts

I like the way they do it on American idol

the judges get one "save" per series that they can use on an act who they think has potential but maybe just had a bad week and apart from that whoever is lowest in the vote gets eliminated

makes the judges decision a bit more meaningful

altho that probably wouldn't work on x factor because of the dual role of mentors and judges

Well its the format of the show, and we all know why its there to create additional drama and interest. It's the same on SCD.

Such is the paranoia amongst the XF conspiracy theorists that I honestly think they'd prefer to strip back all the entertaining aspects of the show. Have every act sing the same song, in strict rotation, in the same clothes, without any production and without any judges comments for fear that the audience might be influenced. What a dire show that would make.

even then you would get complaints that the song they all did only favoured certain acts and didn't suit their favourite

What's the point of judges on X-Factor when the public decide. The winner was voted by the public for his looks not his voice. Total joke!

Ben is rubbish compared to Andrea fact . 2 a penny pub singer

They are asking judges highlight of the year on X-Factor . I think it was Cheryl's mascara running all the time with her crocodile tears

LOL ”

I dont normally agree with what Lord Sugar says about most things but he is spot on here!

Why should people vote and spend their money (I don't by the way never have) for people when the bottom person doesn't actually go because Simon knows the result and manipulates it to suit him and his acts!!!

I agree there is no point that's why I never have and never will vote on a show like this. Through the manipulation they can pretty much guarantee certain acts will be in the final as was shown this year.

Everyone knows the format, its been with us for best part of a decade. Also, they can vote for free via the app.

If that were the case Jake Quickenden would have been in the final. Time to just accept Ben got there on merit.

That's his percentage share of the vote over the entire weekend. The vote was only frozen remember. The votes already cast for Ben & Fleur continued to accumulate.

Yes, but many found Ben to be more attractive than Jake.

Jake was completely desperate in everything he did, hence why people never took to him and found him arrogant and annoying.

Ben is far more attractive with his gravelly voice, stubble, big eyes and also the fact he was completely modest and humble. That is far more attractive.

Does anyone rember what week Andrea was gold sprayed-tanned - I'd be interested in how he scored then?

She really did, much better than most people here were claiming. Despite the lack of early exposure, she was top 5 in week 1, and continued in the same vein until shooting up to 2nd place from Week 6 onwards. Ben was clearly unstoppable but good to see she did so well.

The voting was more or less as I expected, except OTY did much worse than I anticipated.
