Week 4 & not to be surprised it was the week he slipped to second after winning the first 3

If there's going to be an ultra-bland but good-looking male artist in the competition, they're a safe bet to win, it seems. It happened in Matt's year and it's happened again this one. I'll be watching for such a type in next year's live shows and will be betting on them from show 1.

The American Idol way is so dumb, I've only watched two series where they've had that 'save' rule, and in the second one they used it on a guy with a beard who was totally overrated and deserved to leave.

Then a few weeks later, Pia (one of the best singers in the whole competition) got eliminated but they couldn't save her cos they'd already wasted it on the bearded guy a few weeks back.

you think its worse than the way the x factor do it with one week sending someone home because of the sing-off performance and the next ignoring the sing-off and basing it on who has done best in the series

all the while making sure that whoever they want is either saved or eliminated by taking it to deadlock when it suits them

at least on AI they have to think carefully about when they use it and apart from that one time whoever finishes bottom of the vote will leave

I think that was more down to the stupidity of the panel than being a flaw with the format itself. They wasted the save on an early elimination, but seemed to learn their lesson the following year by holding off and letting some good singers go home, before getting it spot on when Jessica came last at around the final 6.

Indeed, I posted them because I found it funny that Lord Sugar would get worked up over the x factor.

He was spot on for me too though.

How would you choose There's usually at least 4 of them in the Boys category

Looks like Ben won fair and square according to these figures. The idea that someone in the lead from week 4 didn't win would cry fix to me. Well done Ben

I just thought he embarrassed himself. Getting his knickers in a twist over the dull and really not that good Andrea not winning just showed himself up.

In your opinion, I don't know you but I'm pretty confident I know whose opinion I rate higher!

I suppose you're right. What with Sugar's well known knowledge and interest in music

How is it a sympathy vote? That was the first time in the competition his percentage dipped below Ben's.
