So Ben got about 2.3 million more votes than Fleur. It wasn't close at all.

Interesting that Ben's vote was only slowly creeping up and then got two significant boosts: a respectable one after OTY were eliminated and a major one after SK were finally euthanised.

Either a complete coincidence, or a glimpse of the semi-mythical beast known as 'vote transfer'.

It's Matt Cardle all over again. Oh well good luck to the guy, he will need it.

Yes and I'm sure TPTB spotted this! Then Fleur started appearing in everyone's vts- probably trying to engineer the vote transfer her way from the next eliminees!

And that if Andrea went out some of his votes might bolster Ben even further...

The way I see it, the voting figures show Fleur would have probably been out weeks ago but for the pimping, they also show Andrea would have probably won it but for the derailing!
They show that Ben clearly gained from Andreas derailing! I find Ben a puzzle because I just don't get him myself, they used the nice guy card on him coupled with the votes they stole off Andrea!

Desperate measures by them.

Also how close was vote 7??!! Only the young not even close to the rest”

Only the Young were eliminated in a flash vote on the Saturday, so you'd expect their percentage to look tiny. The other acts had 24 hours more votes, so its impossible to tell how close it actually was in reality.

Most of the lower down acts did about as well as expected.

To me the biggest surprise is how well Lauren's vote held up.

No surprise to see how dominant Ben was towards the end.

People started to listen.

Funny thing is that those results blow all the conspiracy theories out of the water.

Just look at the threads on here, hundreds about Andrea, Fleur, Paul, and how good they are, hundreds about all the above and the others about how bad they were, and people quietly voted for Ben.

Annoying thing is my husband called it right the weeks Andrea was the hot favourite and didn't put a bet on. We would have been looking forward to a very nice Christmas.:
(And it's not the first time he calls programs like this right but he doesn't bet.)

Quite obvious that Lauren and Andrea were the two most harshly treated. If either of them had been given the preferential treatment Fleur did they quite easily could have challenged Ben, and in Andrea's case probably won it

No one stole votes off Andrea.

Andrea just peaked way too early and did nothing to make himself interesting in the final few weeks. You can be amazing every week but that gets boring in a show like the X Factor.

They haven't announced the percentages at the vote freezes when Jack and Only The Young went.. seems odd.

I remember all the people saying Monster Mash would have topped the vote easily that week. How wrong they were.............

It's bizzare that on so many of the rare occasions a female act has a natural suppot base, the producers do everything in their power to stamp it out (Janet Devlin, Mary Byrne, Lauren Platt).

It should've!

Oh well. I'm honestly just happy seeing those results that we got as much of them as we did

I don't think they ever do.

Obviously, in both cases, it would have been way closer at the Saturday cut off.

The producers did nothing to make him interesting in the final few weeks, there's a big difference! Agenda springs to mind!

As much as Lauren and Andrea were clearly eased out of the running, I think Paul's hatchet job was probably the most savage one I'v ever seen

Disgraceful how Simon treated ANDREA! I hope he will go on to do better things👍

Well to be fair, Mary would've been even more of a disaster of a winner than Matt Cardle, and the other two delivered some seriously dodgy performances, so I'm not surprised they didn't want them crowned the winner.

Lauren & Andrea clearly treated like lambs to the slaughter.

Paul too.

Why is everyone hating on Only the Young? Didn't we all acknowledge their popularity on here wasn't comparative to their popularity with the public?
