Fleur vs Lauren

Just proves how much hype & manipulation are on this show because Lauren did better in the votes overall & most weeks.

Week 1

Lauren 10.4%
Fleur 6.0%

Week 2

Lauren 12.7%
Fleur 6%

Week 3
Lauren 11.8%
Fleur 9.3%

Week 4
Lauren 11%
Fleur 9.4%

Week 5
Lauren 13.1%
Fleur 10.8%

Week 6
Fleur 14%
Lauren 13.2%

Week 7
Fleur 16.1%
Lauren 16%

Week 8
Fleur 17.9%
Lauren 17.8%

Week 9
Fleur 24.3%
Lauren 20.1%

Ok sure Fleur won the last 4 weeks but not by much at all until week 9 where she finally got a few %.ahead thanks to uptown funk

I think uptown funk confused a lot of people. Fleur was barely ahead of Lauren. Without uptown funk I would say Fleur would have been in the bottom two in the semi final like she almost was the week before.

'Lauren did better in the votes overall'

Except Fleur came 2nd and Lauren didn't even make it to the final...

Try reading the whole post instead of just the first line.

Fleur grew her vote across the series though and Lauren's stagnated or shrunk. I'd blame that on the poor song choices that Lauren got.

Lauren got plonked on early every week, given horrible song choices and rigged out of her rightful place in the final. I'm assuming Simon thought it would help Fleur as, traditionally , the public are incapable of voting for more than one female act per series.

Lauren never got one pimp slot or semi pimp slot

Lauren was a favourite towards the start of lives show while was Fleur was hardly shown leading up to the live shows. Fleur had to work hard and perform her ass off and as the voting stats show she started to creep up and overtake the favourites such as Lauren and Andrea.

Erm yes she did she was virtually unknown at the start and could have easily gone the first couple of weeks.

The fact is, Fleur performed brilliantly and got a number one single out of it as well as an incredible amount of performance views. That was all Fleur being an amazing performer. Try as you might, you can't take that away from her. But I'm sure you'll keep trying

Just thought I'd add to this thread to say that I haven't seen any of The X Factor this year. Nothing.
This is the first time I've visited the forum this series.

But from watching other TV shows or noticing newspaper headlines on walking past the magazine sections in shops I noticed that this Fleur person kept being mentioned, and I am unaware of anybody else from this series.
So that to me does suggest an element of hype going on. Because as I haven't watched this series I shouldn't have even heard of this Fleur should I?
I haven't heard anything or seen anything. But I kept being reminded that this person was on The X Factor and I haven't got a clue who anybody else is.

I don't even know what music she does or know what she sounds like, but it is cemented in my brain that Fleur was a contestant on The X Factor this year, and until I visited the forum just before this post I didn't have a clue as to the names of any of the other contestants.

This vote leak proves in my opinion that Lauren was the more talented act and the more popular act of the two, Fleur could only beat Lauren due to constant pimping, the same for how Andrea lost to her as well.

Why is it between Fleur and Lauren? Can the competition only handle 1 female at a time? Why aren't people complaining about Andrea, Ben etc... over taking Lauren? Why complain about Fleur?
