Haha nice try but no. I lurk the forum for my sunday night kicks. I don't get obsessed over fakery on the television. Some of the posts on this forum are way more funny than watching the actual show, no wonder people come here to lurk.

How do you know they couldn't get away with vote rigging? Has anyone ever asked to see the inside process?

Do you know you live in a country were a newspaper was hacking into phones and police lie about the deaths of 96 people? Do you really think of those serious things happen, that a scripted vote on an ITV television show is beyond the pale?

it's an entertainment show - I have been entertained over the past few weeks - I don't feel mugged off at all. If some future 'stars' come out of the show (no matter where they finished) that's all good as far as I'm concerned. I try not to get all angry and eaten up with wild conspiracy nonsense about TV programmes TBH.

They've had more dud acts win the show than successful ones, so yes. And the successes succeeded thanks to post-show marketing more than blazing to victory. Several of the successes, in fact, didn't win the show and several of them were joke acts, which were fully embraced by the show (see this year's Stevi Ritchie for an example). It sounds like you're overcomplicating things with redundant conspiracy theories.

I don't know, have you trying asking the question? That might be the first line of inquiry if you want to convince people. Or is your mind already made up?

Yeah, I guess me and you are very different. I have to admit, I'm one of those hipsters whose view is clouded by my classical music training on the piano and going to classical concerts.

BTW I'm not angry. I find these points fun to write. I'm actually very happy atm since the semester is finished and I'm off for christmas now.

Lighten up? From the guy positing vast criminal conspiracies over a gameshow? Okay, I'll lighten up.

Oh joy - another smug thread from this poster who 'doesn't watch the show' coming on here to point out how stupid and gullible we all are.

And yet we remain stupid and gullible, despite his frequent efforts to make us see the errors of our ways.

How stupid and gullible we truly are.
