Hi,

We don't really have a section for this but hoping someone here will be able to help me. I'm fed up of all these cold calls, yes thats even on the TPS and a call blocking / filtering gadget.

So I thought of getting an automated switchboard where they have to press a number to get through. I'm sure most won't wait or are able on autodialers to press the number required. Issue is that where do I get a cheap reasonable priced one from?

Can you buy phones that can do this job that auto answer with a set message before making the user press a number?

Hoping someone can help. This is more landline phone btw.

For landline use a Truecall unit has that option to answer and require a key press before allowing the call through.

Cheaper to order via Amazon:

Thanks for the reply. Looks quite smart, however how easy is it to go down the switchboard route myself?

Can you buy phones that basically do all this for you and play the caller an option when they call?

Also how easy is it to set up a VOIP system as seen something mentioned about doing this using a raspberry pi. If so, would this provide the switchboard style option?
