As a Fleur fan I was gutted she didn't win because she was exciting and a breath of fresh air and is destined for stardom. But bens a nice guy and deserves a shot too.

Ben winning kind of means they both win because Ben has to get signed and Fleur will 99% get signed by Simon or another big label.

Had Fleur won, I don't know if Ben would have had much of a chance, even if Simon signed him he wouldn't have given him as much attention as he'll have to give him now but he'll give Fleur a lot of attention as well if not more.

In other words Fleur coming second will have no impact on her career she's techinally 'won' as well. where as Ben coming second could have been the end of his career as a recording artist.

So in reality, it's given the chance to change two peoples lives.

Fleur was overhyped and I didn't like her really. I don't think Simon did neither. If you watch back her performance in the final...every time it cuts to Simons' face...he isn't reacting the way he did with Ben or even Stevi...I think perhaps she had an attitude...

Yes OP, correct. If Fleur had won, Ben probably wouldn't have got a deal. As Ben's won, they will both get a deal. Only time will tell if Ben's given the time and effort to develop as an artist he wants to be, or whether he will be Brookstein'd.

You need an attitude to get anywhere in the music business - a bit of chutzpah. I think she's found it and it will serve her well.
