looking at the options it seems even if the runner up does not release music, they still appear to be in the public eye more than most winners.

Fleur will be forever the best second place hands down.

Was this made as an excuse to give Fleur something to win over these past few days?

no it was inspired by Fleur though, looking at her as a very popular runner up, i wanted to look back and see who else was also a popular runner up.

JLS for me. Saying that, Ray Quinn was the only one I ever saw live..... in a pantomime.

Rebecca <3 She had such an amazing voice! She should have had a lot more success with her second album. I love Fleur and Olly too but Rebecca hands down wins for me.

Nicholas who?

JLS but also liked Rebecca, Andy, Rhydian and Fleur.

Olly or Ray equal as the worst runner up for me

Fleur is my 5th choice from that list! I think she's quite over-rated and doesn't have a particularly great singing voice... but then again, perhaps that's just me, I'm not into the style of music she is clearly good at.
