It can't revert to the public vote though, because that would reveal the outcome, something the BBC will not do.

Well except they're happy to reveal who comes bottom of the public vote in the final. Also sans a dance-off, it was often very easy to tell who of the bottom 2's ers had the lowest public vote. In fact in some circumstances towards the end of some series, you were able to work out the entire leaderboard.

Jake and Pixie not in the final, maybe the right decisions, just about, but their show dances could have been GRRREAT with their particular pro's choreography ! Sod technical merit in the decision making process, I want to entertained !
