I disliked the idea of her being the Master. She would have been better as an entirely new character. I wish the show would do more original characters and not keep on bringing back what was popular in the past. I also found Missy hugely irritating anyway.

Not voting is more of a 'don't care' or 'not interested' response than 'I care, but feel ambivalent' response.

LIGHT: No! All slipping away.
DOCTOR: All is change, all is movement. Tell me, Light, haven't you just changed your location?
LIGHT: Not yet.
DOCTOR: What's the matter, Light, changed your mind?
LIGHT: You are endlessly agitating, unceasingly mischievous. Will you never stop?
DOCTOR: I suppose I could. It would make a change.

LIGHT: Argh! Everything is changing. All in flux. Nothing remains the same.
DOCTOR: Even remains change. It's this planet. It can't help itself.
LIGHT: I will not change. I'll wake up soon. No change. Dead.
DOCTOR: Subject for catalogue. File under "Imagination, comma, lack of".”

What does that even mean? "Never change anything unless you absolutely have to?" That's not a philosophy, that's a phobia! Utter dross.

Why was it a bad idea ? because you will never hear her say this "I AM THE MASTER !" Thats because "I AM THE MISTRESS !" is daft

Master is an academic qualification, just like Doctor. Women are not awarded with a Missy Degree when they attain the same level, so the title Master was equally applicable, male or female!!

Daft idea, and poorly executed IMHO. It was done purely to generate comment and provoke reaction, rather than for any story or creative need. The day the Dr turns female is the day I stop viewing, because it will be the indication that the show has strapped on a set of water skis, and made straight for the nearest shark!

It's still better than changing some basic and established things just for the sake of change (or political correctness).

No change is one thing - things stagnate and die, and perhaps it's better that way.

What's worse is insisting that any possible change could only ever be for the worst possible reasons, despite any evidence or goodwill to the contrary.

It's like saying, "oh, he only gives to charity because deep down he's a fundamentally unpleasant man who's trying to cover it up, and nothing you can say will ever change my mind."
