He's such a shark. After Alexandra Burke's successful first album, she worked with huge names and top producers/writers for her second album. A year later though and there was no release schedule or anything...he had other artists such as One Direction who were getting all his time, so she was lietrally waiting on hold until the go ahead was given for the release of the album (sounds similar to what Leona has recently said about being told to "wait for Cowell's call" or something similar to that effect). Eventually, Alexandra left Syco and moved to RCA...she wasn't dropped by SYCO, but there were a lot of label politics so not sure how she managed to leave. When she moved to RCA though, Simon/SYCO refused to give her the second album she had recorded. After having not released music for so long, RCA obviously wanted an album out fo her...which resulted in the rush recording/release of a dance album...which ended up being her second album. Would love to hear the original second album that she recorded with SYCO, but unfortunately it doesn't look like we will. I would love to hear from Shayne Ward about his experience.
