DWTS used to have the Texas two-step as well... *shudders*

Add Zoe Lucker's and Cherri Lungi's (sp?) rumbas to the hit list for me I love James' rumba choreo: he wasn't afraid of raunch, and in his own dancing, always remained masculine even in styles that can feminise men. Shame about his unruly gob really :/

Regarding the Rumba...

It turned out, my info was a whole 10 days premature - so the order of dances can't have been based on the previous week's outcome, at least not when outside choreographers are involved.”

Well I could be wrong, I don't have Monkseals spreadsheets but it seems an amazing co incidence that unexpected bottom 2 visits seem to be followed by a crowd pleasing charleston this year.

We need confirmation or otherwise of my theory.

IF I am right it speaks to weeks ahead manipulation to get the result they want by the producers

I was pretty much of the same opinion of manipulation etc by producers but have noticed that the salsa and charleston coaches have said two weeks in advance who they are training but the cynic in me still think it is a bit manipulated

The earliest Charlestons came from the most pants celebs though...

Edit* Frankie is the exception, but it was her joint lowest scoring dance.

I genuinely can't decide who would be more embarrassing to watch in that scenario. Although when you factor in their respective pros the decision becomes much easier

On DWTS, do they avoid giving certain dance styles to the older contestants? If not it could make for even more embarrassing routines than we have to see over here, especially as they also have Hip Hop.

Kevin and Frankie were on Radio 2 a couple of weeks a go talking to Chris Evans about the music. Kevin said he chose a lot of the songs himself and the producers said yes to pretty much all of them. He wanted America for the Paso, Bamboleo for the Samba for instance and that's what he got. I think Vincent said more or less the same thing for the music he wanted.

.. and his serial killer eyes No .. I can't deal with James being raunchy.

I've only really liked Kara and Artem's but that's probably cos the chemistry was real.

In case anyone hasn't seen them here are the interviews with Tristan from the MacManiacs website that give some insight into the making of Strictly -

They will probably let you have the songs you want if they happen to like them

But there have been some bizarre combinations.

I smiled at the advert for BBC IPlaylist - "if you have enjoyed the music on Strictly this year..." etc

Well there have been some great songs but they haven't exactly always fitted the dances

And Why am I not suprised by this,

Tristans experience was not this, and I suspect Janettes was not either, certainly last year, Iveta and Mark had very odd choices.

No one can persuade me Scott this year wanted to be a crab, they are going to make him redo that in the final aren't they
