Why did they change the lyrics to the chorus of 'Something I Need'? As someone who absolutely loves that song it really threw me off every time the chorus came on because it felt like they weren't singing the correct lyrics. What was the deal with them changing the words? It felt like they turned the song into the official 'yolo' song.

I noticed that too but I quite like Ben's lyrics and I feel they are more appropriate for X Factor

The charity the song is supporting is for terminally ill children, the original lyrics about 'dying with you' would probably have been inappropriate. It must have been ok'd with Tedder though as they tweeted how much they loved this version.
