We don't watch TV on Christmas Day but will Sky+ a few things for later.

This year there's nothing on BBC One that interests us. So it's Downton on ITV, a Tim Rice thing on BBC Two and Frozen 3D on Sky.

For those that missed it first time round, BBC Two are repeating Marvellous late Christmas Day.

You couldn't wish for a more heart lifting drama.

The channels seem obsessed with 'heart lifting drama'. Many of us, me included, aren't remotely interest in such mawkish drivel. There are almost no horror/paranormal films on this Christmas at all. Film4 has really let the side down. It's mostly 'rom-com' or 'action comedy'. Yuck!

It's all a matter of personal taste. I was just programming the PVR for the next week, exclusively BBC1, BBC2 and BBC4. I am sure I did not set it to record any of the rubbish on STV or CH4 but will check again later to see if I missed anything hidden away in the dross.

I'm not decrying your choice but the only one of those I'd be at all likely to watch is Michael McIntyre. I used to love Strictly but Len and Bruno always interrupting Craig when he's talking and saying he's wrong when imo he's more or less always spot on have put me off. Don't watch any soaps or Dr Who, never got into CTM and find Mrs Brown's Boys silly rather than funny. I did enjoy Miranda originally but I just never got round to watching after the first couple of series; plus something Miranda Hart said on the Graham Norton show once (or rather the way she said it) put me off her.
But to each his own

Channel Five have a one-off original drama on the 27th called 'The Haunting of Radcliffe House'.
