Benefit They're Real Mascara

Has anyone else tried this so called wonderful mascara? Apparently the UKs No 1 Best selling mascara for 2 years.

At first I thought I had found the perfect mascara, until I went out and my eye watered very slightly in the cold wind. The mascara ran down my face, ending up with me looking like I had a super black eye. The problem was that it was not possible to remove the mascara until I returned home as it is supposed to be smudge proof.

As far as I am concerned I will be returning to Lancome Waterproof Mascara that never shifts during laughter or crying sessions. When will I learn not to waste money.

I didn't like it. My Mum bought me one a couple of years ago and I couldn't wait to try it as I like the look of long false lashes (although by achieving the effect with mascara, not falsies). I hated it. My eyelashes actually hurt wearing it and when I looked in the mirror I had little crumbly bits on my cheeks where it had dried / fallen off. Very strange. Also - when I did want to remove it, I found it an impossible task.

I tried it after all the hype - supposedly one sold every minute somewhere in the world or something like that - it's awful stuff. I had panda eyes by the afternoon and it continued to work its way down my face until I took it off at the end of the day. I'm sticking to Bobbi Brown, which I love.

I had it and it didn't do any of the things you've described on me, but it just did nothing. I was accosted by a Benefit girl in a department store in the summer who wanted to know if I wanted a makeover (I didn't). She asked if I'd ever had an Benefit stuff and I said I'd used that and it was pretty unnoticeable. She acted like it was my fault for the way I applied it and when I said I had no idea if I'd wiggled it at a particular angle or not, her response was 'Oh bless you.'

Patronising cow.

Yes, I'm now prejudiced against the mascara. It was expensive and the Rimmel one I have looks EXACTLY the same, perhaps better after 3 coats.

I used it once. Then binned it. You get the picture.

I have a rimmel mascara (the one in the yellow tube) its very good. The benefit mascara is good but no 'wow' factor.

I'm not a fan either. Although I haven't found that it runs, it clumps horribly and is basically impossible to get off. It makes my eyelashes look horrible the day after I apply it. I use a MAC one instead, Studio Line or something like that, and it's brilliant; I still get the extended lash look with it but it's much softer and comes off easily.

I used to love Benefit products but over the year I've found myself buying them less and less. I do still like their Crescent Row perfumes but that's about it.

I got a free sample from some place or another and hated it. It flaked horribly and didn't evenmake a huge amount of difference. I don't get on well with benefit products in general though. I always read amazing things but whenever I try them I never get those raved about results. The only thing I ever really liked was the you rebel tinted moisturiser.

I thought I was the only one who didn't like it. I thought it left my eyelashes really clumpy yet undefined. For the price of it I'd rather get Clinique's High Impact.
