I never thought of lying, you see, so my CV must have looked very boring. I never imagined anyone would lie in CVs, until a friend told me what she wrote in hers, which staggered me. When her employer asked to see her Certificate, she made an excuse of not being able to find it. Don't know how she got away with it, but she did. Just as well The Apprentice wasn't around in those days, as a lot of people might have lost their jobs.

I wanted Roisin to win i thought she has been the best candidate out of all of them. She is definately the most creative person she basically made that candle and board game on her own. Lord Sugar definately made a mistake in firing her. Now that she is gone I wish her luck in making her product work. I am now backing Bianca to win as i don't like Mark at all - i think he brainwashes/ puts a spell on people to do what he wants so he gets his way. I hope he cant brainwash Lord Sugar to make him his buisness partner. Last year I wanted Leah to win and she did im diappointed for Roisin as i believe she deserved to win. Just watched Your Fired and all the panal and majority of the audience thought Roisin should of been Hired.

I'm sure her food business will take off, if she starts off in a small way. But I think what took hold of her imagination was the big prize the show was offering, and her head stayed in the clouds. Good luck to her

Bianca has the show record in terms of wins, PM wins and boardrooms avoided. its slightly better than Roisins on paper. Mark has the worst record of the last 7.

Bianca's also consistently done what she does outside the show well - she's shown her presenting and advertising skills as real.

Mark has raised all sorts of questions about strategy, creativity, reliability and presenting skills.

Mark hasn't shown his specific skills to do what he promises to in the series - he avoided being PM on the tasks that he could have shown his ability. The youtube task looks more relevant still now we know his proposal.

Bianca owned up to her howlers, Mark spent much time laying blame elsewhere just in case.

Now on task performance, or moments of great business talent, probably neither deserves to be there. But , as Katie and Roisin both offered a field he 's not interested in - and one proposal was too smallscale and one too largescale for him , someone has to be.

No, you are wrong - she is a 'comedian', which means she is funny and everyone has a duty to laugh at everything she says.

Having seen her live the quotes are uncalled for, I'd recommend her, she was great.

As an accountant she ought to have realised the numbers didn't add up. I'm not so sure she can make a go of it. There's already similar stuff established. Apart from the product she was shown at the interview, another was pitched on Dragons Den last year and got investment (almost entirely because of its brand name, Bare Naked Foods, which appealed to Peter Jones). She'll could lose a ton of money trying to launch it, even on a small scale. She's showed she has some good ideas, but this isn't one of them.

Indeed. She wasn't great on You're Fired tonight but she's usually very funny. However it seems to be a common theme on DS that women comedians aren't very funny. They apparently only get TV appearances because of BBC guidelines.

The thing about Mark (apart from the fact he stabs everyone in the back) is that he really is just a salesman. What he's proposing isn't some new way to market a website, it's the same thing hundreds of other companies do - essentially advertising to drive traffic to a site using a set of basic techniques.

It's a sales driven industry - the product/service isn't any better than anyone else's, you're just living and dying by how well you can sell it. Bianca, Roisin, Solomon and even Daniel (though his idea was a bit half baked) were offering genuine ideas to try and fill a gap in the market; Mark is just offering to create another outfit competing in the same narrow sales arena.

Solomon's idea was equally half baked. Roisin's was stupidly overambitious. From Lord Sugar's point of view it's who is going to give thim the best return on his investment. On that basis Mark and Bianca had the best plans of the five on offer. Mark has proved how well he can do in this market working for others. There's no reason why he can't do it on a larger scale working for himself. It's analagous to Ricky and his recruitment skills.

Mark didn't stab anyone in the back. He pushed himself forward at the expense of others, but he was quite open about it. He proved he was a top salesman of course, but he also convinced the interviewers he could run a business.

That's true. There are many thousands of recruitment companies out there but that didn't stop Sugar entering the market as there is always money to be made. Web promotion and advertising is just the same so I can see the attraction there even if it isn't the most exciting or original idea ever.

However, I would still love to see Sugar promoting tights.

I was really disappointed in the business plans from Roisin and Solomon, I was expecting better from those two. Roisin's plan relying on bank loans plus shoddy market research and I knew Solomon was in big trouble as soon as he said "no financials" during the taxi ride to the interview, let alone the overuse of clipart in his document.

I thought the segment with Solomon and Claude was a bit OTT, also the way the other contestants were laughing at him afterwards.

Claude's was Sugar's business troubleshooter - and therefore directly comparable to JHJ. (And we've never seen JHJ interview anyway ...)

We don't know for sure, do we? I only counted seven former candidates - there's one unseen one somewhere.

It's something I've noticed on The Apprentice and life in general is that female interviewers tend to be a LOT harder on women than male interviewees, but it doesn't seem to be the same way for male interviewers being harsher to men. Maybe it's just my skewed experience?

Obviously they kept Solomon in just so they could trash him in the interview. Think Daniel only stayed so long because LS ended up with a bit of a soft sot for him because everything else was pretty meh.

You're right. I think it's to do with the psychological factor of it being a "man's world" in business - and the relatively few women who have reached the top, have done so by exhibiting "male" characteristics i.e. being a dick. So when they see another woman, far from supporting them (which would be seen as a female characteristic - and from the men's point of view, women "sticking together") - the woman is essentially proving herself to the men by showing that she has no bias towards the new girl.
