They actually seemed to be laughing with Solomon rather than at him. I guess he himself was laughing just because he knew deep down there was absolutely no way he was going to survive being so comprehensively ripped to shreds by Claude, and it was all he could do to cope with the situation.

Not speaking from experience or anything, mind.

I don't think they were laughing at him for being thrown out, I think it was mainly to do with the fact that he said he walked in the wrong direction by walking to the window instead of the door (or something).

But yeah it seemed to be with him, rather than at him, and he was laughing too.

I think they all saw it as a tension reliever.

I think Solomon was great there - he told the story as funny and embarrassing, and it was and they all laughed. Good for him, Sol doesn't take himself too seriously.

The way Solomon told it it would have been impossible not to laugh. He's an unintentional comic genius and could see him doing stand up.

I think they were laughing more at the horrific situation, being surprised at how bad it was for him. Not mocking him.

I laughed as well

It's the thought that he was heading for the window, rather than the exit door

Things were bad for him... but not that bad... did you see how high up above the ground he was

It was a genius comedy moment! Solomon isn't that sensitive & he was laughing at himself therefore it gives the others permission to do the same.

Great tension reliever & nothing for the general public to get het up over.

Oh come on now!.

I know this will sound a bit mean but a bunch of mediocre to average people chuckling at one of the funnier moments on a reality tv show didn't really tug on the heart stings all that much for me. Always love the interview episode and this one delivered!

On reflection, perhaps you are a nicer person and I am a cold hearted Apprentice cynic/ bad man but, Solomon's puppy dog to hound dog face was the stuff of legend. Claude played the cameras for all they were worth as he built him up just to instantly destroy him and order him from the room. Lovely stuff. Classic Apprentice.

As a fan of the show, it was Apprentice gold. To be fair Solomon took it pretty well all things considered!

Some FM's over the last few weeks have wondered why Solomon is in this "process", well now we have the answer.

Classic WTF moment, and that's all.

Lets be honest, not even a 10yr old would think his 3 pages of pretty boats constitute a business plan, and as for the others laughing about Claude reaction, well so what!. It wasn't just funny, but seriously embarrassing that a supposed intelligent man believed "its in my head" would be taken seriously.

It was 8 pages.

To be fair, I think his plan was just as bad as Roisin, who wrote reams. Both plans were rubbish. Solomon didnt waste his time writing reams and reams like Roisin did.

What?. Solomon didn't have a ruddy plan as it didn't include any figures (a rather important part of any business eh). And if you take out his pretty pictures, his plan would be lucky to cover 2 sheets of A4.

And as for Roisin, her product was far too niche, but at least she gave it a fair go. Solomon on the other hand seems to have used the whole process as a springboard for a media career.

Agree. I think it's better not to bother with the financials at all (as Solly didn't) than to do them with an assumption you will have £750k when you know full well the investment is £250k. As for the nature of the businesses/products, Solly's is already underway so we know it works...

I actually felt a bit sorry for him. He should have been given the boot ages ago. I am sure he was in the bottom 3 once. If his business plan was that rubbish, why did they not just let him go back then?

Unless they kept him on because of his "sex tape" controversy and thought it might take in some more viewers?

The sex tape only came out waaay after the filming of the show, so it wouldn't have affected Solly whilst he was on the show.

He was in the BR in Week 2, but didn't deserve to be fired at all, especially compared to the other two in there.

I Thought Claudes attitude towards Solomon irrespective of his flimsy Buisness Plan was a disgrace !...I would have fired him for making Solomon look so small !..that is unproffesional in itself ! not a good role model for Buisness students .and could have destroyed his confidence !

So you saying where you have a budget of £250K and you blow that in month 2 is a solid business plan?

Its not, its rubbish. She must have spent weeks on that plan, and still didnt see the flaw. Better to be like Solomon miss it all out and save yourself weeks of work. Work which shows you up to be clueless.

Thats the thing! He didnt argue that at all! Claude was literally opening himself up for Solomon to get passionate about his plan but Solomon broke. It was a test of character. Contrast that to Daniel who pointed out discrepencies in the interviewers statements or Mark who had a counter-statement to every critcism. Solomon didnt even try. Not because hes lazy or he couldnt of course he simply cracked under the pressure, I doubt many wouldn't have,

I found their laughing infectious - even Sol was laughing so I don't feel there was any nastiness involved. It was a great tension breaker for the candidates I feel.

Oh don't be so pathetic! He's not a five year old, he's a grown man. He needs to have a thick skin if he's going to be a businessman, not Mumsy types going all soppy over him. Good grief!
