I felt Solomon intended for them to laugh, he said it in the way like telling a joke, the way he said he went for a window to leave the room. I don't know what others think about Solomon but I felt his character/personality is very much like Boris Johnson, and we know from BJ that he always does things on purpose to get a laugh from people.
When Solomon said "Aaah" The way he nods his head. The walk. Always wanting to be in that jovial and comedy mood. They make others laugh at them (both BJ and Solly). I wonder why he decided to adopt that sort of personality? or perhaps its natural for him to speak and act that way. Is it to be likeable maybe, where people like him to be part of their social group or perhaps he thinks employers like the BJ personality also. I've worked for a firm in the past and they was a guy from newcastle, a geordie, and when I spoke to my project manager she said to me, yes his the clown of the team thats why we are emphasising about these traits of his, and they were always laughing when he does anything and sometimes they were funny but most of the time I felt this is unprofessional, but the minute he left I felt our team was worse off from not having him a part of it. So it does help to have this personality around. Its like Boris Johnson, as soon as I see him on telly I pay attention I know his making a fool of himself for laughs. and I'm going to have a good time watching that particular show.

Thats the thing! He didnt argue that at all! Claude was literally opening himself up for Solomon to get passionate about his plan but Solomon broke. It was a test of character. Contrast that to Daniel who pointed out discrepencies in the interviewers statements or Mark who had a counter-statement to every critcism. Solomon didnt even try. Not because hes lazy or he couldnt of course he simply cracked under the pressure, I doubt many wouldn't have,
I'd be surprised if any of this year's candidates would have been able to recover from the treatment Solomon received - especially given the "good cop/bad cop" framing, which made him let his guard down. |
