Discounting Len's deciding vote choices.

Interesting question, early doors I had them in the mix as possible finalists for sure.

It's hard to tell with Thom, because he went out (comparatively) so early, so it's hard to tell how much he would have progressed. Dance-wise I don't think he had that much more to offer than a Steve/Sunetra did and probably wouldn't have made it much further than they did. Though I can't imagine how the final wouldn't be improved by having Pixie or Jake there over Mark at the very least.

I agree with all of this. I would rather have Pixie and Jake in the final than Caroline and Mark. I would certainly be looking forward to Jake's showdance more than any of the finalists we have, if only to see what mad things Janette would put in to top the lifts she has already done.

Something tells me Thom would have got better, though perhaps more performance wise in the end, than in his technical improvement. With eyes in my backside I'm glad Simon's made it because he's improved a lot in both.

I think Pixie there would have made it closer to call, I think Jake there may have given us a good show dance and I do think he is better inflation than Mark.

Thom would be interesting, would he ever have come out of his shell I don't know? But Iveta would have given us a hip hop show dance no doubt

Yes I've heard Iveta keep saying on ITT that she is 'famous for her hip hop dancing' - is this true or an ongoing joke? I can't quite tell with Iveta, but the bit of 'hip hop' she did while showing off her wardrobe didn't look that great to me

No definitely not. Neither Thom nor Jake belonged in the final.

But Pixie instead of Mark would have been ideal.

I don't know about Thom but Pixie and Jake would have added colour to what promises to be a very beige final.

I doubt Thom would have progressed enough to be a worthy finalist.

Jake and Janette would have done a great crowd-pleasing show-dance, but I don't believe he was technically good enough to be in the final.

Pixie (probably in place of Mark) is the only one of the list that I'd like to be in the final.

I think the biggest problem for this final as a prospect is the perception that neither of the guys is likely to win. (In fact there's an argument that the best thing for the show long-term would be if one of them did win but that's by the by). I've maintained always that the DO creates at least as many problems as it solves.

It's all ifs-and-buts but IF Pixie had been saved over Simon in the QF DO and Jake had been saved over Mark in the SF DO, then that problem goes away. In that scenario, three of the finalists would have 1 B2 each and the other 0....and though Jake would be clearly the weakest dancer there would still be the possibility that his vote could be strong enough to win.

I'm happy enough with who is in the final. For pure hotness I like Frankie, Caroline is the best I think, my girlfriend likes Simon, and Mark Wright has never bothered me like everyone else says he gets on their nerves. I have only ever seen him in the jungle and one episode of Wright Around The World, so I had no Towie preconceptions about him.

As for the week before the semi final, Pixie, It's All About Tonight, and Tonight was All About Simon, so get over it

No doubt the final would be better with Jake and Pixie, much more entertaining and everyone would have been waiting for that show dance from Jake and Pixie.

We will never know. Having said that, Jake wasn't talented enough to be in the final.

I'm glad that Simon is in the final because if he had gone out earlier, we would have missed his fabulous performances of the Salsa, Waltz and AT.

IMO, it's time people got over the eliminated celebrities. They have gone and nothing will change that.

Well done to the final 4!

Iveta and I definitely saw potential in Thom...

Thom was never going to be of the quality of the current finalists, and personally I found him utterly dull to watch. I would've preferred Pixie in Mark's place for a number of obvious reasons (and think Trent's show dance could have been special!), but otherwise think the final contestants are the best technically & delivered the most captivating dances .

it would have made for a much more entertaining show no doubt, there are some boring celebrities there.

I wish Caroline wins at this point even though she was not my first choice, at least she has blood running through her veins.

My final would have been Jake, Pixie, Frankie and Caroline, but No Tour No Final

This is, in effect, the final Len chose.

I don't think Jake or Thom would've been any better than who is in the final already. Everyone wants Jake in because of the potential of his showdance, not the quality of his dancing (which was subpar for a few weeks) which is completely the wrong way to look at it.

Pixie on the other hand would have added something to the final, but Simon was better than her on the night and deservedly went through instead of her. Its tough, but I like the finalists we have so idk...I think Pixie's the only one you can fairly think deserves to be there over the others, and even that, it was dumb luck that she went out on the one week where she was inferior to other dancers in the comp.

Pixie & Jake would both have made the final 100% more interesting to watch IMO - I'm sure both would have produced at least one show-stopping performance, and quite possibly three. Thom, we will never know, but would he have been any better than Mark or Simon? Probably not.

My ideal final would have been Pixie, Caroline, Jake & Mark by the way - which I doubt anyone on here would agree with!

Yes but lets try to forget that. The public gets what the public wants, supposedly.

I'm happy with the finalists though would have been equally happy with Jake instead of Mark.

I would rather have Scott in the final than Mark.

Not sure about Thom but I do believe Pixie and Jake should be there. I'd drop Caroline or Frankie and Mark for them.

I'm just thrilled Simon is there.

No. Thom, Jake and Pixie all got the basics of a cha cha wrong so they would never compare to the actual finalists. No amount of frills and novelties can make up for getting the basics wrong.
