I wouldn't buy a 4k tv until the end of next year when 4k blu ray movies should be available.

For me I will wait until the next consoles arrive, hopefully in the next 4 years. That's assuming that my current tv doesn't breakdown on me. By then I hope 8k TV's will be available

I have to say the up scaling of non 4K content is very impressive on my 55inch Samsung UHDTV. I am currently watching the extended edition of Avatar and the picture quality is jaw droppingly impressive.

Ahh yes, watching Skyfall on blu ray yesterday and couldent get over the picture quality and depth of blacks on my Sony X85
