Yes, but this particular poster has a habit of signing up again and again under a new username.

New circulation figures show RT lost 9% of its paid circulation in the six months to June a drop of 6.5% year on year but its subscribers went up by 5% and is now the UKs most popular weekly subscription magazine . Its digital version doesnt even make the top 100

Biggest loser in the tv listings was TV Times losing 10% while tv choice showed a small increase in six months but a 2% fall over the year but remains the most popular titke with 1.276 million copies to RT,s 712,000

Does the 712 000 include subscribers?

Talking of movie premieres, Iron Man 3 would be a good shout as I seem to remember it's set at Christmas

Maybe the Christmas Eve slot that Skyfall had last year?

Thinking of joining in with the quiz this year

Last year was the first year I didn't bother with the Christmas radio times, the cover was poor and for the price you can get more user friendly listings elsewhere.

Hoping for a better cover this year

although I'm struggling for any guess the cover ideas

I don't think Iron Man 3 will be on the BBC. IIRC, Channel 4 have the rights to the Iron man films.

There'll be a Gogglebox special at Christmas, this one featuring children talking about the year's TV.

Ah, but TDKR has less widespread respect and praise than TDK, which felt like one of those 'movies of the decade'. Probably meant the rights to it were sky high.

I think that the BBC have the FTA rights to the MCU films distributed by Disney (Avengers Assemble being the first one).

Had a go at a Christmas Day schedule! Now, taking it for granted that ITV will look something like 19:00 Emmerdale, 20:00 Corrie, 21:00 Downton – I think the BBC should look something like this.

15:10 BBC News/Weather
15:30 FILM: Wreck It Ralph
17:00 Toy Story That Time Forgot
17:30 Doctor Who
18:30 EastEnders
19:00 Strictly Come Dancing
20:00 Sherlock
21:30 EastEnders
22:00 Mrs Browns Boys
22:30 Would I Lie To You

The obvious elimination is CTM. I just cannot see room for it this year on the big day. The BBC needs a big hit on Christmas Eve (The past few years have been very poor) so I think this would be perfect for CTM - Maybe something like this:

18:20 FILM: Up!
20:00 EastEnders
20:30 Call the Midwife
21:45 Mrs Browns Boys D'Movie

I think Sherlock will be on Boxing Day and Call The Midwife will remain on Christmas Day. I cant see two Moffat dramas airing virtually back to back on Christmas Day.

I think Christmas Eve will look like this:

5.00pm Professor Branestawm (NEW)
6.00pm BBC News
6.30 FILM: Maleficent (PREMIERE)
8.00 EastEnders
8.30 Would I Lie to You at Christmas
9.00 The Brittas Empire (NEW)
9.30 Car Share (NEW)
10.00 Film: Mrs. Brown's Boys D'Movie (PREMIERE)

The Sherlock Christmas Special is also being shown worldwide in selected cinemas.

If this is done as a simulcast like they did with Doctor Who once, the Sherlock special won't be on Christmas Day. (cinemas not open in the UK)

they could move Dr Who to Boxing Day seeing as its a Saturday so traditional spot for it - depends on what ratings it gets this season

Mrs Browns Boys DMovie i reckon is inappropriate for Christmas Eve - still think its too early to show it his year

Christmas Eve is a difficult nightbto schedule - how many families have the time to sit down to watch a big drama or film - people would be travelling, parties, preparing the dinner, wrapping parcels, getting ready for their once a year trip to church for midnight mass

Nigella Lawson has tweeted to say there will be a new BBC 2 Christmas special this year - probably to be shown in the run up to Christmas
