I've just checked and your username has changed.
You were Dave_Cactus in February and now Cactus_Dave.
Looks like support have reversed your name.

Anyway at least everything is now sorted for the Christmas run in.

Meant to post the other day. I have my invitation to my local Dobbies garden centre Christmas launch party at the start of October.

Yes, it's exciting! Once the winner of the quiz is announced on October 18th, there is just two weeks until the main event run by claires_dad. Then once that competition closes, the RT will be published and before we know it it'll be CCCCHHHRRRIIISTMASSSSS!!!!

To be honest I was expecting it to air on New Years Day as per the norm, that way BBC can say we've had our usual Sherlock fix for next year.

This is as expected, with Doctor Who no chance of another Moffat show on top.

The last three years the vast bulk of the BBC Christmas day peak time (5pm-11pm) has been filled by six programmes-

Strictly
Dr Who
Call the Midwife
EastEnders
Mrs Browns Boys
Michael McIntyre.

I imagine these programmes will make up Christmas day peak time this year again.

Another programme that will not be shown over Christnas is Last Tango in Halifax as the new series will not be filmed until next year as the writer is busy with Happy Valley according to the new RT

That's a shame. Last Tango fits with Autumn - Christmas. Never mind. Caroline Quentin said on This Morning that Dickensian will air over Christmas.

Anyone interested in RT for the next 6 months the current issue (starting Saturday) has a good offer:-

26 issues for £46.80 incl. free leather cover + £20 M&S vouchers.

If you take those £20 vouchers off the mag is £26.80 for 26 issues, roughly £1.03 an issue, delivered to your door - including the Christmas issue! Considering the cover price is £2 that's a good offer (albeit nowhere near as good as their 12 issues for £1)...

Just ordered the 12 Radio Times for £1.
Ordered it through Topcashback so I will get £1.05 cashback.

So basically I've been paid 5p for 12 issues, including the Christmas issue.

That is a great deal. I've done the 12 issues for £1 a few times now over the years.

Could be a new policy they have introduced (very) recently - to dissuade selfish b's like me who have enjoyed 4 x £1 offers since early 2014!

I'm not sure if this counts, Aaron, but I saw an advert today that was about getting a free Christmas tree delivered to your door, or a free Christmas turkey. I was actually signing up to transfer to a new utility company at the time so wasn't fully watching, but I remember looking up thinking oooh a Christmas ad just before it ended only to discover it was for the Daily Mail! I didn't quite get the gist - collecting coupons or buying tomorrow's paper or something like that - but it's the first time I've seen any reference to Christmas on the telly this year.

I must say, I do appreciate your Twitter feed. This morning's BBC Christmas compilation featuring Gordon The Gopher really brightened up my day at work. Thank you.
