Cover Entry:

A Shaun the Sheep special from Aardman -
The farmer will be dressed as Santa handing out presents to Bitzer and Shaun, with Timmy dressed as an elf
In thebackground will be the rest of the sheep trying to decorate a Christmas tree but a string of lights will be around the biggest sheep -
the pigs will be dressed as the three wise men.
Also in the background will be the farmhouse with Santa's reindeer and sleigh on the roof and Santas wellies sticking out from the chimney pot.

It will also be an interactive cover so when you use an app it will have Shaun bleating MERRRRRY Christmas

Cover to incorporate Sherlock and the Tardis to publicise both shows with a "Christmasy" background.

Lol! Like buses you get two great ideas come along at the same time!

I wonder if they'll show both Shaun the Sheep and Stickman on Christmas Day this year?

Could we have a different look to Christmas Day? I would like to see a move away from animation on Christmas afternoon. Perhaps this:

2.00 Top of the Pops
3.00 The Queen
3.10 Shaun The Sheep: The Farmers Llama's
3.35 Film Premiere: Maleficent
5.05 Stickman
5.35 BBC News
5.45 Doctor Who
6.45 Call The Midwife
8.00 Strictly Come Dancing
9.15 EastEnders
10.15 Mrs. Brown's Boys
10.50 The Graham Norton Christmas Show
11.40 BBC News

that should be a question for next year - when was the last year we had a non animated film after The Queen

It won't be much fun for Wizzy if he wins his own prize.

It was a question last year! Come on Markey, pay attention! The answer was 2004 with 102 Dalmations!

I said on the 2014 thread that I watched less tv this Christmas and new year than I think I have ever done. I don't know if that says more about me or what was shown?

Anyway, before we know it Easter will have come and gone, the May bank holidays will be past, the tans from the summer will have faded, Halloween and Guy Fawkes night will be but a memory, Wizzywick will have run the pre front cover competition competition and Claires_dad will have opened the legendary guess the front cover competition. The time will fly bye!

Have a good year everyone.”

Quoting the first message I posted on this thread, on the 2nd January 2015.

And here we are, and Claires_dad has opened the legendary guess the front cover competition. Hasn't the time flown bye?

So my guess for the front cover. Well after the randomness of last years front cover I am going to go traditional. So, my guess-

A traditional snowy village scene.

Guess the Cover - Santa, with sack of gifts, putting gifts under a Christmas tree

My prediction for the Radio Times Christmas cover is a big Christmas pudding, maybe with a robin.

3 weeks tomorrow we may get the BBC Press release with the highlights
3 weeks Tuesday we may get the programme info for weeks 51/52 (no schedules yet but let the speculation begin)
3 weeks Saturday the first early Radio Times

Even though the Radio Times is no longer a BBC publication I reckon we're going to get a Sherlock cover with Sherlock Holmes and Watson in a snowy Victorian London on the cover.

Just turned it over to one of the music channels that have started the Christmas songs. And the first song I hear this year? Wizzard and I Wish it Could be Christmas...

The same old video with all the kids playing musical instruments. At the end Roy Wood picks up one the the young girls, points at his cheek and she kisses him. Except in the version I have just watched!! Surely that hasn't been cut?

Heart Christmas channel if anyone watches it. Watch out for the Wizzard video.

This year the Robin became the United Kingdom's national bird (officially)
So my thinking for this years Guess the cover competition is as follows.

I think we will see a traditional cover comprising of a snowman and a robin will be perched on his twig arm. With Santa 'whooshing' off above the night sky.

It's a little out there.. but hey-ho ho ho..

Excellent to have so many entries already!

So far we have :

Anthony_Ryan : A traditional nativity scene with the baby Jesus, Joseph, the Virgin Mary, Shepherds and the 3 wise men.

BadSignal : A Robin in A Snow filled scene

Only_You : The characters from ''Stickman' in a festive scene (Santa makes an appearance somewhere!)

wizzywick : A knitted effect. Either in the form of a traditional knitted jumper with snowflakes or snowman or a traditional scene. But, whatever the cover reveals itself to be it will appear to have the look that it has been created by knitting with wool

judomole : The Cover will be Shaun the sheep based on the new episode "The Farmers Lama"
Featuring Shaun and the rest of the flock, Bitzer the dog the Farmer and a lama gathered round a Christmas tree with snow in the background

altally : My guess is a Santa theme, similar to 1991, 1995, and 1997

marke09 : A Shaun the Sheep special from Aardman -
The farmer will be dressed as Santa handing out presents to Bitzer and Shaun, with Timmy dressed as an elf
In thebackground will be the rest of the sheep trying to decorate a Christmas tree but a string of lights will be around the biggest sheep -
the pigs will be dressed as the three wise men.

Ian_Stevens : Cover to incorporate Sherlock and the Tardis to publicise both shows with a "Christmasy" background

pedrok : A traditional snowy village scene.

StuL42 : Santa, with sack of gifts, putting gifts under a Christmas tree

smokeycat : a big Christmas pudding, maybe with a robin

Claires_dad : a Sherlock cover with Sherlock Holmes and Watson in a snowy Victorian London

Aaron_Cardwell I think we will see a traditional cover comprising of a snowman and a robin will be perched on his twig arm. With Santa 'whooshing' off above the night sky

If I've missed anyone off please let me know!

I'm a bit confused. Are you saying that they have cut out the ending? Why? Very strange.

In the version I watched, the bit where he asks for the kiss on the cheek was cut.

It may be that version of the video on the Heart channel, or just a blip, but yes, it was strange.

Just checked and the Bliss channel plays the full version of the video.

Hello Claires dad, It's the BBC charts that are released on Fridays. Independent Local Radio's own national chart is still released on Sunday's and is broadcast by most ILR stations between 4.pm to 7.pm.

I know but the chart the BBC use is the Official top 40.

Mate, the BBC doesn't have its own chart. It uses the Official UK Single Chart so therefore is the only chart the music industry are interested in.

It must be Heart Christmas channel. Just saw it again and it was cut.

Seems absolutely ridiculous.

My post from 2nd January 2015 - I predicted something right then!

(As did a few others back then)

I don't know about that - I'm not saying I agree with their editing it out, but I can understand it bearing in mind the climate of the last few years, and the Top of the Pops context...
